Using the optional HDMI plug-in module, you can enjoy up to 7.1 channels of high quality Dolby & DTS audio.
Mulitiple Sources
Supported sources: Bluetooth® (AAC, aptX & aptX HD), Analogue (RCA & mini-jack), Coaxial RCA, two optical, USB output and two expansion ports.
BluOS Expansion
The optional BluOS module delivers hi-resolution sound throughout the home using the acclaimed Bluesound multi-room platform.
A WIDE RANGE OF INPUTS
Supporting digital and analogue sources
The DALI SOUND HUB features an extensive range of inputs for all your digital and analogue audio sources. When you start playing music or turn on your TV, it switches to the correct source automatically. And with two modular expansion ports, you can also add high-resolution streaming and 7.1 channel surround sound via HDMI.
BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY
Supporting high performance AAC & aptx
Bluetooth connectivity is built right into the SOUND HUB. Connect any Bluetooth-enabled audio source and play music stored locally or via your favourite streaming service in seconds. The SOUND HUB also supports AAC, aptX and aptX HD audio from compatible devices for impressive high-resolution audio playback in up to 24 bit/48 kHz resolution.
ANALOGUE SOURCES
Reproducing better-than-CD quality
The SOUND HUB's analogue input is where audiophile tradition meets the future of wireless active Hi-Fi. Using advanced analogue to digital conversion, the SOUND HUB converts audio from sources like CD players, turntables and RIAA phono preamplifiers into a high resolution, better-than-CD quality, 24 bit/96 kHz stream for the best possible audio reproduction.
SUBWOOFER OUTPUT
Delivering powerful low-end detail
The SOUND HUB includes a volume-controlled, line-level analogue subwoofer output that switches on automatically when a subwoofer is detected. For seamless integration with the rest of the system, the output is low-pass filtered to match the frequency characteristics of the main speakers. Using the optional DALI WSR (Wireless Subwoofer Receiver), the SOUND HUB can connect wirelessly to any active subwoofer for a full-range 2.1 setup or as a true LFE channel in a multichannel system.
EXPANSION PORTS
Plug-in modules for extra functionality
One of the most innovative features of the DALI SOUND HUB is hidden away from view. The two modular expansion ports at the back open up the SOUND HUB to a world of possibilities, including streaming, multi-room and multi-channel audio.
7.1 CHANNEL SURROUND
Create an amazing multichannel setup
When connected to a TV via HDMI ARC or eARC, the HDMI plug-in module enables the SOUND HUB to deliver up to 7.1 channels of high quality Dolby and DTS surround sound.
BLUOS MULTI-ROOM
Devised by audiophiles for audiophiles
The NPM-2i plug-in module adds Bluesound's incredible BluOS hi-res multi-room platform to the SOUND HUB. Devised by audiophiles for audiophiles, the NPM-2i module streams high-resolution audio to your DALI EQUI speakers and integrates with other BluOS-enabled devices to create an amazing multi-room setup around your home.

DALI SOUND HUB
The DALI Sound Hub is a compact, system-focused preamp/streamer hub that delivers lossless 24-bit/96kHz transmission to DALI active speakers and makes multi-source connectivity painless. Reviewers led by Gordon Brockhouse of SoundStage Solo praised its ability to preserve dynamics and imaging when feeding active Rubicon/Callisto models. The Hub packs optical, coaxial, analogue RCA and 3.5mm inputs, Bluetooth, a sub-out and two plug-in module bays (BluOS NPM-1) for streaming, Roon endpoint and Spotify Connect when a module is installed. At home it proved easy to set up, compact, and integral to creating a high-performance, self-contained DALI system that emphasizes rhythmic drive, precise imaging and robust low-end when paired with DALI active speakers. Ideal for listeners who want a tidy, high-res-capable front end in a modular ecosystem.
Pros
- Preserves high-resolution dynamics and spatial detail by transmitting uncompressed 24/96 PCM to DALI active speakers, supporting outstanding micro- and macro-dynamics and a wide, deep soundstage.
- Generous connectivity and expandability — optical/coax/RCA/3.5mm, Bluetooth, sub-out plus two plug-in module bays (BluOS NPM-1) enable streaming, Roon and Spotify Connect integration.
- Compact, user-friendly design with straightforward pairing and remote/Bluetooth control makes it an effective hub for a self-contained DALI active-speaker system.
&
Cons
- No built-in room-boundary compensation; reviewers noted the resulting system can produce overly prominent or boomy bass in some listening rooms without additional room correction or repositioning.
- BluOS streaming features require the separate NPM-1 module and some user setup (module installation and app configuration), which adds cost and steps to get full network functionality.
Transparency
90/100
The hub transmits uncompressed 24/96 PCM to DALI active speakers via a proprietary 30-bit protocol, which reviewers note preserves the signal and metadata (volume/speaker ID). While reviewers do not explicitly comment on noise floor or added coloration, the preserved lossless transmission and the system's natural presentation support a high transparency rating without explicit 'black background' claims.
Sound Quality
91/100
Dynamics
92/100
Reviewers described the DALI system as notably dynamic and expressive; the Sound Hub's uncompressed 24/96 link helps preserve micro- and macro-dynamic information and sends volume control data to the speakers. That preservation of dynamics is explicitly linked to the system's rhythmic prowess and expressive range.
Soundstage Imaging
90/100
The reviewer praised the Rubicon system's wide, deep, and precisely imaged soundstage; the Sound Hub's lossless digital handoff to the active speakers supports faithful spatial reproduction, suggesting the hub does not impair imaging and helps retain soundstage cues.

Build Quality
86/100
There is limited direct commentary on the Sound Hub's physical construction in the review; the product is described as a compact component with multiple inputs and a sub-out. Given DALI's system-level integration and plug-in module approach, a solid mid-to-high build quality score is warranted despite sparse explicit evidence.
Features Connectivity
88/100
The hub offers 2× optical, coax S/PDIF, RCA analogue, 3.5mm mini-jack, Bluetooth, two plug-in module slots, stereo RCA line-level out, and a sub-out; it supports full 24-bit/96kHz digital and proprietary wireless transmission to DALI active models. These capabilities (built-in DAC-level functionality, subwoofer out, remote/volume control integration via the wireless link, and expandability) place it in the well-featured category.
Value for Money
87/100
Review text references a price ($799) for the Sound Hub but includes no explicit value judgment; product data shows a different price (449). Because reviewers do not opine on value, a neutral baseline score is applied while noting the price discrepancy between sources.
