Value for Money

90/100

The RUBICON 6 C turns wireless convenience into full-range authority, pairing powerful active amplification with a hybrid tweeter for airy detail, tactile transients and richly controlled bass. SoundStage Solo praised its expansive, precisely focused imaging and expressive dynamics, while Sound Advice admired its nuanced vocals and musical composure at volume. A seriously accomplished wireless floorstander.

What Reviewers Are Saying

"Not only could the Rubicon 6 C's go from pianissimo to fortissimo in a heartbeat, they beautifully resolved gradations of volume between those extremes."

— SoundStage Solo

"They allow a singer to communicate in absolute torrents, and are observant of nuance down to an almost molecular level."

— Sound Advice

"Listen to any genre in your music library, the DALI will not disappoint you."

— HomeTheaterHifi

"This loudspeaker delivers a large, powerful, wideband sound that doesn't disappoint, regardless of the type of music you play."

— StereoNET United Kingdom

"With some acoustic jazz playing, the Rubicon 6 C reproduced the sounds of double bass and percussion with delicious slam and impact, and trumpet with impressive bite and clarity."

— SoundStage Solo

"DALI has also included two expansion ports on the back of the Hub, allowing for later upgrades if and when they become necessary."

— Audiophilepure

Cons

Robust bass can become boomy in rooms with strong low-frequency modes; careful placement is important.

Large cabinets need breathing room from rear and side walls for best performance.

SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 95/100

Reviews describe an expansive, highly resolved and engaging presentation that combines a slightly warm tonal balance with exceptional clarity, scale and rhythmic life. The Rubicon 6 C is especially praised for its airy hybrid-tweeter performance, powerful low end, convincing imaging and ability to remain composed at high volume.

Bass

95/100

Reviewers consistently heard deep, forceful and textured bass. SoundStage Solo found serious output into the lowest register of a five-string bass, while Sound Advice praised the way the speakers start and stop cleanly rather than letting bass bloom; one reviewer did find the substantial low end could become boomy in a room with severe bass modes.

Mid

94/100

Vocals and acoustic instruments are described as expressive, nuanced and naturally weighty. Sound Advice praised the speakers' command of tone, timbre and vocal detail, while SoundStage Solo heard a concert grand piano as solid, immediate and tonally consistent across its range.

Treble

96/100

The hybrid dome-and-ribbon array earns unusually strong praise for combining air, attack and detail without turning harsh or over-etched. Reviewers singled out convincing cymbals, tactile strings, crisp guitar articulation and a spacious top end that remains civilised with poor recordings.

Soundstage Imaging

96/100

This is a major strength. Reviews report soundstages extending beyond the speaker cabinets, with impressive depth, height and breadth, sharply defined image placement, and a convincing recreation of recorded ambience.

Dynamics

96/100

The active system is repeatedly described as effortless and expressive, from subtle transient and harmonic shifts to large-scale crescendos. SoundStage Solo found its range from pianissimo to fortissimo outstanding, while Sound Advice noted that it can play very loudly without becoming oppressive or collapsing the stage.

Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.

Build Quality

89/100

The Rubicon 6 C uses a substantial MDF cabinet with a 25mm front baffle, securely mounted drivers and attractive gloss or walnut finishes that reviewers describe as beautiful or gorgeous. The related passive Rubicon 6 review found the enclosure more inert than an average budget cabinet, though not as solid as pricier high-end designs.

Value for Money

90/100

At roughly $9,397 for the full system including the Sound Hub, the package is positioned as a premium all-in-one alternative to a separate hi-fi chain. SoundStage Solo called it a magnificent self-contained system for under $10,000, and HomeTheaterHifi recommended it for listeners seeking convenient high-resolution playback without the long-term hassle of assembling and adjusting separate components.
