Bricasti Design M15 Stereo Amplifier
The Bricasti Design
Model 15 Stereo Power Amplifier
The Bricasti M15 stereo amplifier is the beating heart of any system and in particular, a Bricasti Design system. Like its bigger mono-block brother the M28, the M15 delivers heaps of power at critical stages, forging a sonic path of least resistance all the way from source to the speaker. This can be heard and felt and is in part thanks to its fully differential / balanced architecture.
Precise control
The power amplifier is a very critical part of the audio chain. It has to take the incoming signal and amplify it and most importantly, deal with the load of the loudspeaker and control its back EMF with precision. The sound of the M15 is intended to be transparent and revealing with low distortion, and fully dynamic with no sense of limits and compression in the reproduction, on any loudspeaker.
Balanced power
The M15 stereo power amplifier is a true reference design in analog power amplification, an uncompromising design offering extremely low distortion with moderate power and a unique truly balanced topology rarely seen in the industry. When combined with our M1 DAC or M12 Source Controller driving the M15 one can achieve a fully differential signal path, from the converter to the loudspeaker.
Modern application
The intention of the M15 is to integrate seamlessly into your existing system while allowing for a more compact form factor. A unique feature like trim control lets you properly gain stage the M15, critical with todays digital sources driving the amplifier directly. You also enjoy the same sonic benefits of the M28 monoblock with the stillpoints isolation designed directly into the feet.

Bricasti Design M15 Stereo Amplifier
The Bricasti M15 is a consummate, studio‑grade stereo amplifier that pairs muscular current delivery with refined musicality. With 125W into 8 ohms (250W/4Ω, 500W/2Ω), a fully differential topology and ultra‑wide 10 Hz–150 kHz bandwidth, the M15 offers exceptional headroom, slam and control while keeping distortion vanishingly low. Reviewers such as Michael Zisserson highlight its ability to drive difficult 4‑ohm loudspeakers to concert levels without heating and to preserve musical meaning, while Audiophilepure notes a slightly darker top end on some recordings. The result is a sound with a rock‑solid centre image, homogeneous timbre and expansive soundstage. Built like a tank (90 lb anodized‑aluminum chassis) with isolated power supplies and a five‑year warranty, the M15 suits serious audiophiles, studio use and systems that demand authoritative, transparent amplification.
Pros
- High output and control—delivers sustained headroom and stable performance into low impedances (125W/8Ω, 250W/4Ω, 500W/2Ω), enabling concert‑level dynamics without thermal strain.
- Ultra‑low distortion and musical preservation—maintains detail and the emotional core of recordings, supporting transparent playback across genres.
- Imaging and soundstage—produces a rock‑solid centre image, homogeneous timbre and an expansive, stable soundstage even with demanding speakers.
- Professional build and engineering—robust 90 lb anodized‑aluminum chassis, isolated power supplies (dual‑mono‑like architecture) and a 5‑year limited warranty reflect studio‑grade construction.

Cons
- Slightly shaded top end and somewhat restrained bass on certain recordings—some listeners may perceive a darker treble and toned‑down low‑end detail.
- Shared supply topology introduces a very small amount of channel interaction compared with fully independent‑transformer designs, which can marginally reduce bass snap versus the M25 at extreme demands.

Dynamics
94/100
Reviewers repeatedly praise the M15's power delivery and headroom: "more than enough oomph" and able to drive 4-ohm, multi-way speakers to concert-like levels without heating up. Spec sheet supports this with 125 W/8Ω, 250 W/4Ω and 500 W/2Ω and a fully differential topology plus three isolated supplies, indicating strong current delivery and stability into low impedances. Dual-mono/power-supply design yields excellent control and slam; only slight crosstalk from the shared supply was noted, but does not materially reduce authority.
Soundstage Imaging
90/100
Reviewers report a rock-solid center image, homogeneous timbre and enhanced spatial information that enlarges the perceived soundstage. The combination of very low distortion, wide frequency response (10 Hz–150 kHz ±0.5 dB) and strong channel separation from isolated supplies supports stable imaging even under demanding loads.

Build Quality
93/100
Heavy, well-constructed chassis (90 lbs) and anodized-aluminum finish with three isolated power supplies (dual-mono-like configuration) and robust thermal behavior underpin excellent build quality. Reviewers note the internal layout and power supply architecture explicitly and the unit comes with a 5-year limited warranty; dual/isolated supplies and professional-grade construction justify a high score.
Value for Money
89/100
Price is quoted at roughly $15,000 (one review cites $18,000), and the M15 delivers substantial rated power (125 W/8Ω, 250 W/4Ω, 500 W/2Ω) with very low distortion—attributes reviewers call defensible for a premium purchase. Positive Feedback equates its retail to the more utilitarian M25 and praises the M15's musical results; the M25/M28 family is referenced as peers (M25 having dual transformers, M28 a large single supply). Mixed tonal feedback (some listeners hear a slightly dark top end) tempers the enthusiasm and places the M15 as a "justified premium" purchase in the $12k–$20k competitive set rather than an unequivocal bargain.
