Blumenhofer Acoustics Genuin FS 3 MK 2
Our classic reborn. Now with 10in-25cm woofer and harmonic construction. /lang
After 10 years our Genuin FS 3 needed overhauling: it was missing the new technologies. We wanted to introduce the harmonic constructions, and… our new driver. The Genuin FS 3 MK 2 now bears much bigger components, we developed extra for it a new 10" - 25cm paper woofer and the compression driver shows as well new membranes and a brand new horn, developed on purposes to match the compression driver behind it and the bigger woofer. It is faster, it goes deeper, it is even more friendly to all kind of power amplifiers. In our workshop we can offer true-wood veneers.Wood is a natural product and depending on several factors might have different color and structure. Color and structure variations of the surface are not to be considered flaws.

Natural, vividly present midrange leads the show, rendering vocals and acoustic instruments with uncanny palpability, while horn loading supplies agile, refined treble and infectious rhythmic drive. The high-efficiency design mates beautifully with low-power tube amps; careful setup delivers a panoramic soundstage and fast, tight bass. Reviewer Catalin Cristescu highlighted its energetic, polished presentation.

Bass
89/100
Reviewer: 'not earth-shaking but fast and with a tight bass' and 'lightness and instant response.' Frequency spec to 35 Hz suggests respectable extension but reviewers note it is controlled rather than seismic. Placement-sensitive; reviewer warned to position for well-defined bass. Score reflects excellent speed and control for a single 10"-class woofer design, without subwoofer-level impact.
Mid
94/100
Reviewer: 'midrange is their massive advantage,' with voices 'rich, colorful...smooth and amazingly palpable.' Multiple comments praise vocal presence and tonal accuracy. Score rewards the clearly outstanding, natural midband performance described.
Treble
93/100
Reviewer: 'clarity and speed of the horns provided excellent precision' and 'never aggressive or rough.' Horn clarity and quickness deliver refined top end and detail without harshness, hence a very high score.
Soundstage Imaging
94/100
Reviewer: 'exceptional spaciousness' and 'large three-dimensional sound stage' when correctly positioned. Imaging and depth described as spectacular with singers and musicians placed convincingly behind the speakers.
Dynamics
92/100
Reviewer: 'lively and energetic with a nice punch' and 'fast, immediate' presentation. Strong micro/macro dynamics and rhythmic drive are emphasized, though reviewer notes the design prioritizes speed over abyssal low-frequency slam.

Build Quality
93/100
Reviewer: 'level of finishing is beyond reproach.' Birch plywood cabinet, substantial weight and structural bracing indicate high-quality construction and premium finish.
Features Connectivity
80/100
Passive baseline applied and thus capped. The speaker includes bi-wiring/bi-amping terminals and an impedance linearisation switch (beneficial for tube use), but passive baseline rules keep the score at 80.
Value for Money
76/100
Reviewer notes price ~€9,500. Performance is excellent for acoustic/vocal material, but high asking price tempers value score—strong sonics but premium cost versus alternatives.
