Detail, separation and spatial definition receive repeated praise. Sound Advice found a more convincing three-dimensional space than lesser Nodes, The Ear heard substantially more reverb, vocal presence and instrumental insight than a budget rival, and SoundStage Solo described wide, uncrowded images with fine vocal nuance. SoundStage Solo called its combination of performance and practical facilities unbeatable and made it a number-one recommendation for a room-corrected streaming preamp system; Sound Advice and The Ear each considered it among the strongest sub-£1,000 streaming options. Dirac Live licensing costs extra, but this does not materially change the overwhelmingly enthusiastic value commentary.
