Value for Money
92/100
Delivering a rich, balanced voice that sidesteps the usual lean Class D stereotype, the A08 Pro combines muscular TPA3255 drive with USB DAC and high-resolution Bluetooth convenience. Cheap Audio Man heard notably cleaner separation, a broader stage and convincing instrument placement, making this compact stereo amplifier a compelling foundation for desktop and small-room systems.
What Reviewers Are Saying
Pros
Rich, neutral-balanced sound avoids the dry or harsh character often associated with budget Class D amplifiers.
Clean presentation with improved instrument separation, soundstage width and image placement.
Strong power delivery drove a harder-to-drive modified speaker without issue.
&
Cons
No remote control, dedicated subwoofer output or tone controls were noted in the review.
Bluetooth can require manually disconnecting the paired device before USB playback resumes.
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 90/100
The available review finds the A08 notably clean, rich and balanced, with a more substantial, less stereotypically dry Class D presentation than expected. It is especially praised for its sound at a modest price, although comments on stereo-space improvements are somewhat mixed.
Transparency Resolution
91/100
Cheap Audio Man says the amplifier sounds cleaner than its comparison point and reports sufficient detail without describing grain or haze. The review's description of a robust yet clear presentation is unusually enthusiastic for a budget compact amplifier.
Tonal Balance Musicality
93/100
The reviewer repeatedly calls the sound balanced, neutral, rich and very good, finding no obvious need for more bass or treble. It is also praised for sounding more like a good Class A/B design than a dry-sounding Class D amplifier.
Dynamics
90/100
The review reports no problems with the amplifier's power delivery and cites substantial output into both 4- and 8-ohm loads. Its robust character and apparently comfortable drive support suggest confident performance with suitably matched loudspeakers.
Soundstage Imaging
87/100
The reviewer hears better separation, a somewhat larger soundstage and more distinct instrument placement in space. However, the discussion also mentions some smearing between instruments and a flatter stage in comparison, so the spatial performance is positive rather than unequivocal.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
75/100
The supplied review offers no direct assessment of chassis construction, internal parts quality, heat management or long-term reliability. The compact format and published component list do not establish how well the amplifier is built in daily use.
Features Connectivity
83/100
Connectivity is straightforward, with RCA and Bluetooth inputs, speaker outputs, an auxiliary output for active speakers or a subwoofer, and bass/treble adjustment. Bluetooth supports LDAC, aptX HD and several other codecs, but there are no balanced inputs, remote control, digital wired inputs or dedicated subwoofer output; the reviewer also notes that Bluetooth source switching can be inconvenient.
Value for Money
92/100
At the reviewed $115 price, Cheap Audio Man calls it shockingly good and the best-sounding amplifier heard below $150, which is exceptional praise against direct budget peers. The supplied product listing shows $199.99, however, and the review does not directly assess whether the A08 Pro version remains as compelling at that higher asking price.
