The FORTE represents one of today’s most advanced achievements in high-end amplification — a true 100% Dual Mono design, entirely built around GaN power semiconductors, used both in its power modules and in its newly developed, ultra-low-noise GaN power supply.

• The AGD “FORTE” Dual Mono Amplifier represents the latest advancement in our premium Hi-End Power Amplifier lineup.
• It employs 100% Gallium Nitride Power MOSFETs in both the output power stage and power supply.
• It delivers a rating of over 400W into 4Ω loads (an 800W bridge-mode option is available only as a custom order).
• Achieving this level of performance within a compact CNC-machined chassis (available in fully polished or anodized black finishes) required the development of a new power supply featuring a PFC stage and an LLC resonant half-bridge primary stage utilizing the latest high-voltage GaN MOSFETs currently available.
• Additionally, the “FORTE” incorporates a newly designed motherboard with low-noise LDO voltage rails and an exceptional analog buffer stage based on AD797 operational amplifiers, matching those found in our flagship models.
• To preserve the exceptional value of AGD amplifiers over time, the innovative GaN-based power stage module in the AGD “FORTE” can be easily upgraded to next-generation GaN power modules that utilize cutting-edge GaN MOSFET technology.
• Plus, the design is completely DUAL MONO, featuring independent power supplies for each channel, and a complete separation of the analog and power stages, ensuring top-notch performance and reliability.

• The AGD FORTE amplifier utilizes the same fundamental technology established with the AGD SOLO, Gran Vivace, AGD DUET, and AGD AUDION, which are the first true high-end amplifiers based on Gallium Nitride power MOSFETs.
• With the AGD FORTE, we have expanded the use of the advanced power semiconductor, GaN MOSFET, to the power supply stage PFC front-end, allowing for lower noise, increased output power rating, and improved efficiency.
• The NEW GaN-Power output stage, based on a new generation of 650V-rated GaN MOSFETs, operating up to 800kHz and at elevated slew-rates delivering the most sublime sound thanks to its ideal “by the book” oscillations-free switching performances.

• With the AGD FORTE, we have retained the essential feature of an upgradable GaNSound power module.
• This is a fundamental aspect that AGD has preserved across all amplifier designs, from the Audion to the Gran Vivace, the Tempo, and now the FORTE.
• At AGD, we firmly believe that customers deserve the right to maintain the value of their investment. Therefore, we offer the option to upgrade the GaN output stage module whenever a new GaN MOSFET device is introduced, providing performance and technological improvements.
• The GaN technology used in power semiconductors is only 10 years old, compared to 60+ years of development in silicon technology.
• New and improved GaN MOSFETs will deliver enhanced sonic performance through an upgraded module, with a dedicated daughter board, easy to plug in.

• The AGD FORTE new main board is a 4 layers PCB designed with the utmost attention to minimize noise with optimal control of connections routing.
• With extra large copper traces (20oz), the new board presents a perfect ultra low resistive path and stray-inductance.
• The AGD FORTE main board is designed to accommodate a large bulk capacitor stack (up to 30,000µF), a key vehicle to support the most dynamic and current demand with difficult loads.
• The AGD “GaNSound” Module is easily removable for future upgrades and has an additional copper heat-spreader to maintain the most stable temperature during operation.
• This board is designed to accept the increased component size to be compatible for the 800W bridge mode version of the FORTE…the Fortissimo (custom order only)

• By adopting a new advanced 650V HV GaN power MOSFETs, replacing the standard silicon Cool-MOS technology of previous generation design, the new power supply has achieved incremental lower noise and higher efficiency than the previous generation design.
• The exciting new PS design introduces a dual-stage PFC front-end, ensuring optimal sinusoidal current absorption and enhanced voltage supply stability. It’s a remarkable step forward in performance and reliability!
• All these elements deployed in this new advanced design have contributed significantly to the overall musicality of the AGD FORTE.

• All the elements that comprise the AGD FORTE cabinet are 100% CNC-machined and intended to deliver the best solidity and compactness for audiophiles who are looking to get superior sound with the most advanced technology on the market today, and to “downsize” the footprint and weight of the amps at the same time.
• The AGD FORTE is available in Silver and Black Anodized.
• Other finishing types are available upon request as a custom order only.

The New AGD “FORTE” Cabinet:

• The AGD “FORTE” back panel configuration offers easy access to both the single-ended and balanced input connectors.
• The inputs (completely independent) are selectable via a toggle switch.
• Two pairs of super rugged binding posts.
• The connections for remote trigger input (12V) complete the back panel configuration.
