Advance Paris PlayStream A7
The PlayStream A7 combines expansive connectivity with tonal clarity and muscular control to serve as a convincing one‑box hi‑fi solution. Its standout is the built‑in network streamer, phono stage, Bluetooth and HDMI ARC alongside a 115 Wpc Class‑AB amplifier with a High Bias option, a feature set reviewers found unusually comprehensive. Sonically it offers an open, transparent midband, smooth treble and taut, controlled bass with convincing depth and imaging; reviewers from StereoNET United Kingdom and SoundStage Solo praised its musical articulation, dynamics and soundstage. The retro brushed‑aluminium fascia, dimmable VU meters and robust toroidal transformer give it visual and engineering credibility. Ideal for listeners who want streaming convenience without sacrificing audiophile performance, the A7 delivers strong features and value in a single chassis.
Pros
- Extensive onboard connectivity and streaming (Ethernet/Wi‑Fi, HDMI ARC, Bluetooth, built‑in phono and dual subwoofer outputs) make it a flexible one‑box hub for many systems.
- Open, transparent and musically articulate presentation with a clear midrange, smooth treble and convincing soundstage.
- Strong dynamics and speaker‑driving capability—115 Wpc Class‑AB topology and a large toroidal transformer deliver controlled, punchy bass and nimble drive.

Cons
- Network app and streaming UI are underwhelming or occasionally unreliable, with limited wake‑up behavior and some usability quirks.
- Quality/usability blemishes noted on one review unit: headphone outputs were judged unsatisfying and the front‑panel volume control produced audible crackling.

Dynamics
91/100
The amp is repeatedly praised for power and control: SoundStage says it drives full-range speakers like a 'drag-racing funny car' and handles woofers with 'nimbleness and righteous strength,' while StereoNET notes good timing and engaging rhythm. Given its 115 Wpc Class-AB topology and reviewers' comments that it has 'plenty of poke' and never seems to run out of steam, the A7 rates highly for dynamics.
Soundstage Imaging
90/100
Both reviews highlight convincing depth and width and strong image specificity — SoundStage calls the depth and width 'positively palpable' with 'delicious image specificity,' and StereoNET notes a 'highly convincing' depth perspective and spacious presentation. Imaging is consistently described as focused and engaging.

Build Quality
84/100
Physically described as a robust Class-AB integrated (SoundStage) with decent overall construction (StereoNET). However, SoundStage reported audible crackling when adjusting the front-panel volume knob and headphone outputs were judged unsatisfying tonally and for distortion, so while generally solid, there are some quality-control/usability blemishes.
Features Connectivity
93/100
Well featured for the class: built-in PCM1796 DAC, Ethernet and Wi‑Fi streaming, a built-in phono stage (with rumble filter), Bluetooth streaming and headphone outputs are all present. The app/streaming UI was criticized as ordinary (StereoNET) and the headphone outputs were not impressive sonically (SoundStage), but the hardware connectivity and onboard features are comprehensive.
Value for Money
91/100
Retail listed at about €2,499 and reviewers explicitly call out strong value: StereoNET says the streamer performance is 'almost comparable' to a DAC costing twice as much and recommends cost-conscious buyers audition one. The unit's feature set and sound-to-price ratio are repeatedly described as impressive for the price.
