Acoustic Energy AE320
The AE320² is a new floor-standing loudspeaker with a larger form-factor based on the Corinium driver array for maximum performance / value. Suitable for medium to large sized rooms it features new cabinet design and drivers with considerably improved performance in all areas whilst maintaining the same competitive pricing as the previous model.
The AE320² utilises brand-new paper/coconut-fibre bass-mid drivers which were developed using research derived from the CORINIUM project. These drivers, along with an all-new soft dome tweeter are housed in an inert, slimline 18mm constrained-layer RSC™ MDF/bitumen cabinet – offering a significant step up in both audio and material quality at this price point. The slot shaped duct port on the rear of the speaker augments the bass output and has been carefully developed to reduce the effect of air turbulence with a clean, undistorted bass performance.
The cabinet is available in a choice of walnut or newly developed ‘silk-touch’ matte black or white finishes featuring screen-printed logos with trims and grilles which are colour matched for each finish. The new AE320² is also supplied with aluminium feet and spike covers which will easily integrate within any home décor while being considerate to any floor surface.

Bass
96/100
Multiple reviews describe deep, powerful, room-moving low end and visceral impact (StereoNET: "deep, strong, powerful bass"; The Ear: "reproduced it very well"). Reviewers note a triple mid/bass driver array and careful port tuning, supporting a reference-class bass performance for this tower design without calls for a sub.
Mid
94/100
Consistently praised as tonally smooth, clean and well integrated with little cabinet colouration (StereoNET: "clean and open midband"; The Ear: "voices... beautifully presented"). Reviewers highlight natural vocal presence and coherence through the crossover regions.
Treble
92/100
Treble is described as polished, detailed and non‑bright (StereoNET: "surprisingly polished treble"; ecoustics: new light dome yields faster transients and less coloration). Wide-dispersion waveguide aids smooth high-frequency delivery and a large sweet spot.
Soundstage Imaging
92/100
Reviewers report a capacious, well-layered soundfield with good depth and stable imaging (StereoNET: "capacious soundstage"; The Ear: "instrumentalists arrayed behind [voices] in a highly credible soundstage"). Wide-dispersion tweeter waveguide contributes to broad sweet spot and placement tolerance.
Dynamics
93/100
Noted for slam, timing and dynamic authority (StereoNET: "visceral 'thwacks'", "fleet-footed rhythmic 'get up and go'"; The Ear: handles high levels without falling apart). Reviewers praised both micro and macro dynamics and high-SPL control.

Build Quality
92/100
Solid 18mm MDF construction, substantial bracing, internal damping mass and exemplary fit/finish are repeatedly mentioned (StereoNET & The Ear). Cabinet engineering and materials are described as above average for the price, reducing coloration and improving rigidity.
Features Connectivity
80/100
Passive baseline applied. Reviews note slot-type rear port, magnetic grille, wide-dispersion waveguide, and benign impedance/sensitivity making the speakers easy to drive; no additional connectivity or DSP features to adjust the baseline.
Value for Money
95/100
Strong, repeated reviewer language calls the AE320 a bargain and 'bonafide hi‑fi bargain' (The Ear) and 'screams value for money' (StereoNET). Given the reported retail positioning and peer comparisons, reviewers position it as high value versus competitors.
