Xavian Premio Avanti
Avanti, avanti!
10 years ago we launched the first version of the Premio, later upgraded it to the Premio Esclusivo and now here is the Premio Avanti!
As the “avanti”, or “forward” moniker suggests, there has been another significant modification, taking the qualities of this two way monitor to a new level. Premio Avanti thus conveys the musical experience even more faithfully and clearly to discerning listeners who appreciate a faithful representation of musical energy.
In the new generation, we have focused primarily on enlivening the expression, i.e. increasing sensitivity and energy. We have managed to increase the sensitivity by a very noticeable 3 dB (i.e. you get 50% more volume), among other things by using twice as large and powerful magnetic circuits. Your music will now be noticeably more colourful and better resolved, simply more mature. The transducers used remain our own AudioBarletta design, but refined based on the knowledge gained from many years of high-end development.
What hasn’t changed is the use of the proven Fase Zero topology in the frequency switch. This means that the two drivers are connected in series, providing a truly coherent presentation of the music scene, as well as great organicity of expression.
Although the cabinets are still made of solid oak, which shows off its natural characteristic, all dimensions have been increased, including the bassreflex outlet, which provides even lower distortion. A proud and handcrafted detail is the installation of the terminals in a recessed rear compartment, which not only promotes overall elegance and smoothness of curves, but also protects the speaker terminals from mechanical damage.
The Premio Avanti can show the true essence and sparkle of your music collection – deeper and clearer than any previous Natura series model.

Rhythmic drive and infectious pace define the Premio Avanti, delivering a lively, room-filling performance that makes you want to move. Its 175mm driver and ported tuning give surprisingly deep bass, while a 29mm soft-dome yields refined treble and a coherent, expansive soundstage. David Neice praised its musicality and build, noting exceptional integration and craft.
Pros
- Exceptionally lively rhythmic drive and pace that energizes music and encourages engagement.
- Surprisingly deep, well-controlled bass for a compact standmount (extension toward 40 Hz noted).

Bass
92/100
Ported 2-way with a large 175 mm (≈6.9") AudioBarletta mid/bass driver and a stated -3 dB low end of 40 Hz give these speakers unusually deep extension for their footprint. For its size the reflex tuning and heavy 17 kg cabinet imply solid control and authority; ported design supports extension but may need room placement care.
Mid
92/100
29 mm AudioBarletta soft dome tweeter, careful motor structures and Mundorf capacitors in the crossover suggest resolved, natural timbre and strong vocal presence. The dedicated mid/bass driver and Fase Zero damping approach point to clean, well-bodied mids with low coloration.
Treble
91/100
High-frequency unit uses a 29 mm soft dome with aluminium flat-wire coil, ceramic magnet and a labyrinth working chamber that indicate smooth, extended treble to 30 kHz with low harshness. Design choices favour refinement and controlled radiation rather than forward brightness.
Soundstage Imaging
90/100
Two-way alignment, a cast front chassis and careful driver motor construction support solid imaging and coherent phase behavior. Expect a spacious, well-layered presentation for a standmount design, with good focus and believable depth when positioned correctly.
Dynamics
89/100
Strong motor structures, high shorting copper rings and recommended amplifier power of 50–200 W indicate robust macro and micro-dynamic capability. Sensitivity of 89 dB means dynamics are very good but benefit from a capable amplifier for the last bit of slam.

Build Quality
93/100
17 kg per speaker, internally damped bass-reflex cabinet, cast front chassis and use of Mundorf components point to high-end construction and attention to mechanical control. Fit-and-finish and heavy-duty driver hardware imply premium craftsmanship.
Features Connectivity
80/100
Passive single-pair gold-plated terminals (one pair) — baseline passive bookshelf scoring applied. No bi-wire/bi-amp or DSP expected; terminals are individually mounted and of high quality.
Value for Money
82/100
At the listed price (6630.0), these are clearly premium standmounts; given the measured extension to 40 Hz, high-quality parts and heavy build, they present strong performance-per-price among boutique European offerings but are not a budget bargain. Good value if you seek high craftsmanship and full-range capability without a sub.
