What Reviewers Are Saying
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 89/100
The Rivo is praised for bringing order, space and perspective to demanding music, retaining separation when recordings become congested. Its sonic strengths are most clearly described through spatial clarity and composure rather than a strongly coloured presentation.
Overall Sound
91/100
Hi-Fi Choice hears a convincing sense of order and spaciousness across a wide range of music. Even on dense, aggressive material, it preserves perspective around the performance where that quality is not always apparent with other digital sources. The reviewer also considers its overall performance highly accomplished.
Digital Signal Integrity
86/100
The USB connection was recognised immediately and remained completely stable in the Hi-Fi Choice review. The reviewer also found consistent playback performance across material up to 192kHz, although the available reviews offer little direct comment on clocking, jitter rejection or isolation.
FEATURES USABILITY PERFORMANCE 92/100
Rivo combines an especially polished, flexible music interface with broad service support and useful digital-output options. Its feature set suits both standalone Volumio users and systems built around Roon, external DACs and wired or wireless networking.
Streaming Software
92/100
Hi-Fi Choice describes setup as logical, intuitive and highly flexible, while calling the interface unusually slick and pleasurable for browsing a large library. Local and network libraries, streaming services, multi-room operation, CD ripping, cloud backup and AI-assisted discovery make the platform notably versatile.
Features Connectivity
92/100
Rivo supports AirPlay, Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect and Roon Endpoint operation, alongside wired and wireless networking. Its USB output supports PCM up to 768kHz and DSD256, while AES/EBU and RCA coaxial outputs provide practical alternatives for DAC matching.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
80/100
Hi-Fi Choice finds the Rivo less solid-feeling than some similarly priced rivals. The review does not identify functional construction problems, but its tactile impression falls short of the strongest alternatives in this class.
Value for Money
85/100
At roughly $849 to $1,199, Rivo sits in a competitive streamer market with several similarly priced alternatives. The reviews praise its software experience and sound, but do not directly assess whether it represents especially strong or weak value at its asking price.

POWERED TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Power supply is separated for each section, with one dedicated to the internal clock that has its own stabilizer.
Before powering the circuits, a filtering section has been provided, based on a chain of inductors and electrolytic capacitors with ad-hoc developed cells.
All integral parts of RIVO have, as a result, high performance and stability on their own, which together creates a completely noise-reducing and reliable device.
EASY SETUP
Getting started just takes a couple of minutes with the Volumio official iOS and Android apps

ROON READY

ENGINEERING MADE SIMPLE
Simplicity on the architecture of RIVO, by building a digital signal path as clean as possible.
Filtering and isolation have been meticulously designed by employing multiple 1:1 OFC copper grain-oriented transformers, which guarantee the galvanic isolation of the digital outputs (SPDIF and AES/EBU).
This means the digital signal path will arrive in your DAC without any filtering, any changes. You are certain your music will be the clearest and most natural.
MULTIPLE CONNECTIVITY OPTIONS TO EXPLORE
S/PDIF and AES-EBU outputs with Galvanic isolation and power filtering + USB Digital outputs with power filtering and a dedicated clock.
