The VE PRO is a hybrid model with 4 drivers that takes performance and sound to the next level. Designed for those who seek a more refined and articulate listening experience, this model introduces a carefully tuned balance between power and precision.
At its core, the dynamic driver (DD) delivers a solid and slightly emphasized low end - deep and impactful but always controlled, never overshadowing the clarity of the mix. The midrange is expressive and textured, delivering natural warmth and depth to vocals and instruments. Highs are precise and airy, adding brilliance without harshness. The 4-way crossover allows the different frequency ranges to be reproduced with even greater differentiation - at the same time, the sound stage opens up further, creating an even better stereo image.
In-ears use different driver technologies to produce sound. Two of the most common types are balanced armature drivers (BA) and dynamic drivers (DD). Both have their own strengths and sound different depending on the intended use and sound design.
BA drivers are compact, precise drivers that are particularly efficient at reproducing certain frequency ranges clearly and with great detail. They are therefore often used in multi-way driver setups, where one or more BA drivers are specialized for a specific frequency range (e.g. highs, mids or lows).
Dynamic drivers work in a similar way as speakers: they use a diaphragm that is set in motion by a spool and a magnet. This technology ensures a very natural and powerful reproduction, especially in the bass range. Dynamic drivers usually sound warmer and fuller than BA drivers and give the bass a special sound.
As a special 4-driver hybrid system, the VE PRO uses a dynamic driver for the bass range in addition to the BA drivers. The combination of these two driver technologies gives the VE PRO its unique sound.
Why do dynamic drivers need a vent for pressure compensation?
Dynamic drivers work on the principle of a small speaker: a diaphragm is set in motion by a spool, which generates sound waves. This movement creates air pressure inside the shell. If this pressure cannot escape, a so-called pressure build-up occurs, which restricts the freedom of movement of the membrane. This leads to several problems such as reduced bass reproduction or an unnatural sound.
To prevent this and ensure the full sound of the dynamic driver, a small vent (PRV) is integrated into the faceplate. This ensures pressure compensation, allowing excess air to escape without making the sound audible to the outside.
“With its dynamic sound and perfect balance of warmth, precision and control, the VE PRO is an ideal all-rounder for all musicians and audiophiles who want to take their In-Ear experience to the next level.”
