Vienna Acoustics haydn se-signature
Vienna Acoustics’ Haydn SE Signature turns compact standmount scale into a spacious, immersive soundstage, wrapping natural vocals, rich tonal color and controlled mid-bass in a relaxed, non-fatiguing balance. Alpha Audio admired its broad, stable imaging and generous sweet spot, while HomeTheaterHifi found its focused center image exceptional. Beautifully finished and musically fluent, it brings refined, room-filling presence to small and medium spaces.

Pros
Exceptional soundstage depth, instrument placement and stable center imaging, even for off-center listeners.
Warm, natural midrange and smooth treble make vocals, strings and long listening sessions especially rewarding.
Premium fit, finish and cabinet construction, with reviewers praising the inert enclosure and beautiful veneer or lacquerwork.
Cons
Deep-bass extension is naturally limited; a subwoofer is beneficial for full-range weight and bass-heavy music.
The gently rounded top end can sound slightly dark or less extended than more forward-sounding rivals.
Its 4-ohm, 88.5dB design benefits from a capable amplifier and cannot match the ultimate dynamic scale of larger speakers.

What Reviewers Are Saying
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 92/100
Reviewers describe an unusually large, relaxed and musically involving presentation from this compact standmount. Its outstanding spatial performance, natural tonal color and controlled bass are tempered mainly by a gently rounded top end and the expected dynamic limits versus larger loudspeakers.
Bass
91/100
For a rear-ported 6-inch standmount, reviewers found the bass exceptionally complete, tuneful and controlled. Alpha Audio praised its deep-enough sub-bass and outstanding mid-bass definition, while Audiokey found usable output well below the main roll-off, though both it and HomeTheaterHifi note that the lowest octaves remain limited compared with larger speakers or a subwoofer.
Mid
93/100
The midrange is repeatedly praised for natural instrumental tone, warmth and vocal communication. HomeTheaterHifi heard fleshed-out strings and sumptuous vocals without stridency, while Alpha Audio found excellent intelligibility and detail that keep vocals free of harshness.
Treble
89/100
Treble is detailed, clean and notably free of glare, with reviewers valuing its forgiving, non-fatiguing character. There is a consistent qualification: HomeTheaterHifi found it somewhat dark relative to more forward speakers, while Alpha Audio and Audiokey describe a gently rounded upper end and some loss of ultimate extension.
Soundstage Imaging
96/100
Spatial reproduction is the Haydn SE Signature's most celebrated strength. HomeTheaterHifi called its soundstage the best heard in its own system, citing a wide but focused stage and an unwavering center image across several seats; Alpha Audio likewise praised its immense spread, depth, precise placement and generous sweet spot.
Dynamics
87/100
Reviewers found the speaker quick, expressive and capable of cleanly conveying attack, decay and musical flow. It can play loudly with little apparent distortion, but both HomeTheaterHifi and Alpha Audio make clear that it does not deliver the scale or ultimate headroom of larger loudspeakers.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
94/100
The cabinet and finish receive strong praise throughout the reviews. HomeTheaterHifi describes excellent fit, finish and an inert cabinet, while Alpha Audio calls the paintwork and veneer exceptional and the overall loudspeaker beautifully made.
Value for Money
92/100
At $3,495 per pair, this is positioned against premium compact standmount peers rather than budget bookshelf speakers, and reviewers consider it highly competitive in that company. Hifitest explicitly calls it outstanding value for money, while Audiokey praises its combination of musical performance, finish and value pricing.

Manufacturer's Description — Vienna Acoustics
Also for us at Vienna Acoustics it is still something magical when we first listen to Peter Gansterer’s new creations.
It’s excitement and eager expectancy – and sometimes, like in the case of HAYDN SE SIGNATURE, pure amazement.
We were fortunate and more than thankful to be able to release some beautifully recognized reference designs in the last years, all carefully and painstakingly developed – so why wouldn’t we dare the borders towards the impossible also with our smallest family member?
So what do you unpack?
HAYDN SE SIGNATURE features our patented spidercone X3P woofer, providing – by special placement of the ribs – increased output, extension and control. Dubbed X3P comprises three additional polymers in its composition, which allows the driver to provide an extraordinarily wide bandwidth, while possessing a level of inner detail, quietness, and control. Like its considerably grander companion, BEETHOVEN Concert Grand REFERENCE,
HAYDN SE SIGNATURE features our exclusive handcoated silkdome tweeter, which reveals even the slightest nuances with natural ease, while extending well down into the midrange regions.
A dedicated linear crossover layout, with the copper circuit paths carefully arranged, takes into account the potential for sympathetic and parasitic interactions among crossover components that may inject unwanted noise and distortions while allowing for more direct and efficient transfer of signal to the drivers which leads to a greater level of detail and purity.
Just as our most exclusive designs, HAYDN SE SIGNATURE is carefully built to true furniture grade standards and finished with the same outstanding veneer-wrapping technique, as well as with our true piano lacquer.
HAYDN SE SIGNATURE’s small size will fool you. Please close your eyes and you may find yourself in front of a symphonic orchestra, in the crowd up front stage, or in an intimate piano bar.
We see you there!
