At its core is a next-generation 3D bone conduction system, developed to enhance spatial perception without physical vibration. Our UM 3D Bone Conduction Array positions a Triaxial Bone Conduction System along the X, Y, and Z planes, reconstructing sound like never before.

Full-Spectrum Frequency Range, Full-Bodied Sound

Mason Asahi uses three bone conduction drivers, each tuned for a specific part of the frequency range. Working together, they contribute low-end weight, midrange presence, and extended treble detail.

• Bass is deeper and more textured
• Mids is clearer and more expressive
• Highs extends smoothly to 35 kHz

This multi-axis configuration allows bone conduction to contribute across the full bandwidth, supporting a more immersive and natural presentation, without altering tonal balance or introducing fatigue.

Twelve Balanced Armature Drivers. Six Paths. One Cohesive Tuning

A total of twelve balanced armature drivers are assigned across three bands for optimal performance:

• 4 low-frequency drivers for clean, weighted bass
• 4 midrange drivers for presence and smooth articulation
• 4 high-frequency drivers for detailed yet controlled treble

The six-way crossover ensures each driver operates in its ideal range, delivering speed, resolution, and tonal accuracy that stays balanced at all volumes.

This dual-path approach combines the soundstage layering and spaciousness with a natural presentation with bone conduction, and the precision and detail-retrieval of balanced armature drivers for an all-encompassing, realistic soundstage.

The Mason Asahi shell is built from rare hardwoods and high-strength carbon fiber composite. These materials are pressed into shape through precision moulding, resulting in a design that is both functional and artistic.

The visual finish evokes the first light of dawn. Warm golden wood grain fades into woven carbon textures, blending organic and modern elements in a way that feels timeless and balanced.

UM Fantasy Cable

Every Mason Asahi comes with the UM Fantasy custom cable.

• 26 AWG high-purity OCC copper
• Four-core construction, each with four layers of shielding
• PVC, nylon, and FEP insulation for flexibility and durability

The UM Fantasy is designed to preserve microdetail and eliminate unwanted interference. It pairs well with both neutral and resolving sources.
