What Reviewers Are Saying
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 84/100
The Xuan Nv is described as clear, open and broadly balanced, with a mild brightness that remains controlled rather than harsh. Its strongest traits are smooth, extended treble and convincing positional cues, while dense game effects can obscure smaller sounds and the stage is not especially expansive.
Bass
84/100
Reviewers describe the bass as clean and controlled, with tuning that reduces boominess that can mask game sounds. It is not presented as especially deep or punchy, and quantity is relatively restrained.
Midrange
84/100
Vocals and midrange instruments come through with forward focus, clarity and useful presence. One reviewer heard a slightly nasal character, so tonal naturalness is not entirely flawless.
Treble
90/100
Treble is repeatedly praised for its openness, extension and lack of audible sibilance. Reviewers note that the upper range reaches high and has some brightness, but did not find it harsh, fatiguing or cumbersome.
Resolution Separation
84/100
Detail and clarity are strong for the price, with one reviewer finding instruments nicely separated. In busy competitive-game scenarios, though, overlapping gunfire and grenade effects can mask smaller cues in the same frequency region.
Soundstage Imaging
83/100
Gaming impressions praise the Xuan Nv's imaging, vertical placement and depth perception, particularly in Valorant. Music listening suggests a more centre-focused stage that spreads outward but falls away quickly, rather than a notably wide presentation.
Dynamics Coherence
78/100
The reviews say little directly about macro impact, transient expression or driver integration in music. Its controlled bass and generally balanced presentation suggest a composed sound, but there is limited direct evidence on dynamic range.
FIT COMFORT ISOLATION PERFORMANCE 85/100
The smaller nozzle and comfortable cable-supported fit are viewed favorably, especially against the Truthear Zero models. One reviewer needed a smaller tip, reinforcing the value of trying the supplied options; the available reviews do not meaningfully assess passive noise blocking.
Seal Stability
87/100
Fresh Reviews found the smaller nozzle gave the Xuan Nv a better fit than the Truthear Zero Red and Blue. Another reviewer found the fitted tip relatively large and planned to change size, but did not report persistent seal loss or major tonal instability.
Comfort
89/100
The Xuan Nv is described as more comfortable than both Truthear Zero variants. The smaller nozzle appears to be a practical advantage, although comfort impressions remain limited to the available reviewers.
Isolation
75/100
The reviews provide little direct information about passive isolation in everyday or noisy environments. No reviewer identifies unusually strong attenuation or a notable isolation problem.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Accessories
91/100
Build quality is described as superb for a budget IEM, with particularly positive comments on the shell presentation. The package includes two useful Tangzu Sancai tip sets with different bore sizes, while the included cable is considered comfortable, attractive and unusually good at this price.
Value for Money
94/100
At the reported $70 price, Fresh Reviews calls its performance exceptional in the tested games. ZPProductions likewise considers it very good value below $100 and calls it the best sub-$100 IEM they had tried at the time.
