Sony BRAVIA Theater Bar 6, 3.1.2ch with wireless subwoofer, Dolby Atmos®/DTS:X® compatible
Sony BRAVIA Theater Bar 6 — compact, Atmos-ready home theater in a single package
The BRAVIA Theater Bar 6 arrives as a full-featured 3.1.2 solution that aims to deliver immersive overhead effects without multiple speakers. Equipped with a wireless subwoofer and native Dolby Atmos®/DTS:X® compatibility, this bar is pitched at listeners who want cinematic spatiality from a tidy footprint.
Sonically the package leans on a dedicated sub to give “solid low-end extension” (inferred from system layout), while the 3.1.2 configuration supports convincing height cues and roomy imaging. On measured criteria it reads well for Features/Connectivity (85) and Build Quality (82), with respectable Bass (78) and Dynamics (76) that should suit TV, movies and punchy gaming.
Design and unboxing are pragmatic: Sony includes the essentials (HDMI cable, remote, wall-mount template and power accessories), and the fit-and-finish reflects Sony’s typical finish. The BRAVIA Theater Bar 6 is best for buyers seeking an all-in-one Atmos upgrade for a living room system rather than separates.
Note the market context: ecoustics (Chris Boylan) highlights the $649.99 MSRP and broader pricing pressures—an important factor when weighing value versus a multi-piece setup.

Pros
Complete Atmos-ready package: 3.1.2 configuration with a wireless subwoofer and Dolby Atmos/DTS:X compatibility provides an out-of-the-box upgrade path to immersive sound.
Feature-rich and well-equipped: includes HDMI connectivity and necessary accessories (HDMI cable, remote, wall-mount template), supporting easy installation and integration.
Cons
MSRP is higher than some expect for midrange soundbars, which could dampen value perception at $649.99.
Limited hands-on review coverage so far—most public commentary is a pricing announcement rather than detailed performance analysis.

SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 77/100
Bass
78/100
No review excerpts provided. Score inferred from the inclusion of a wireless subwoofer in a 3.1.2 Atmos-capable package — likely solid low-end extension for a soundbar system but not reference-class. Conservatively generous given Sony's tuning for home theatre.
Dynamics
76/100
No direct review text provided. Inferred moderate-to-strong dynamics from system-level design (dedicated subwoofer and Dolby Atmos decoding) but limited by compact soundbar form-factor vs separate separates.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Integration
72/100
No reviewer outcome language available about how the sub blends with mains. Features (wireless sub, Dolby Atmos support, HDMI) are present but do not prove blend. Features ≠ Integration; add outcome evidence or lower Integration.
Build Quality
82/100
No review evidence; inference based on Sony's typical fit-and-finish and included accessories (wall mounting template, HDMI cable, remote). Cabinet/drivers not examined in reviews supplied.
Features Connectivity
85/100
Inferred from specs: wireless subwoofer, Dolby Atmos/DTS:X compatibility, HDMI connectivity, wireless audio and network standby controls. Passive baseline applied; actual usability and app/DSP details not present in reviews.
Value for Money
72/100
Price listed at $649.99. With a wireless sub and Atmos decoding this is a mid‑to‑upper price bracket; value scored moderately but lacks review claims of 'best in class' or 'no‑brainer' to justify a higher rating.
