Scansonic MB10
The MB10 Subwoofer is not only great in a home cinema setup, it also blends seamless into a good stereo system. Using our knowledge and expertise in designing high-end loudspeakers, we focused on making the MB10 reproduce bass in a more natural and “honest” way, than normally seen in subwoofers. Using a class A/B amplifier instead of the commonly used Class D, plays a key role in the MB10’s natural and dynamic performance. This combined with a low mass 10” woofer, and an enclosure tuned to match the woofer, means we don’t use any frequency equalization circuits. The result is a subwoofer which sounds articulate and refined without any booming – blending e.ortlessly in to any high quality music system. While at the same time having the ability to rattlethe room when watching a movie.

The MB10 delivers remarkably articulate, controlled bass and palpable low‑end texture from a compact 10" down‑firing driver, blending seamlessly with Scansonic monitors for a natural integration and layered soundstage. Its Class AB amp and top‑tier build give it heft and refinement unusual at this tier, a point highlighted by AUDIOKEY REVIEWS.

Sound Quality
92/100
Weighted average of sub-criteria below.
Bass
92/100
Reviews describe the MB10 as adding “an additional layer of weight and substance” and delivering “articulate, controlled, and very satisfying bass weight and presence.” The spec'd 10" long-throw driver and 25 Hz lower response support solid low-frequency extension for its size; reviewers emphasize control and texture rather than overwhelming output, so the bass is rated very highly but not reference-class.
Integration
92/100
Reviewer outcome language indicates the MB10 successfully complements the MB1 B: the sub “added that additional layer of weight and substance,” and the system presentation is described as resolving the sonic picture very well when used together (they ran the speakers full range and used the sub via line RCA). These outcomes point to an effective, natural blend rather than a disjointed or boomy result.
Dynamics
90/100
The MB10 is reported to show no strain at higher volumes in the reviewer’s listening room and contributes to notable layering, texture and precision in the low end. That indicates good transient control and headroom for typical domestic use, so dynamics are strong though not explicitly compared to high‑end reference subs.

Build Quality
94/100
Workmanship is described as “top tier,” especially impressive given the price position relative to much more expensive brands. Cabinet finish options and solid driver implementation (down-firing 10" long-throw) back up the claim of high-quality build and fit-and-finish.
Features Connectivity
88/100
Offers practical connectivity: high-quality WBT-style binding posts, line RCA and low-impedance inputs, and an onboard Class A/B amplifier rather than the typical Class D. Review mentions several connection options but no advanced DSP/app control or wireless features, so functionality is good and conventional but not feature‑rich.
Value for Money
92/100
Reviewer explicitly calls the MB10 “a superb value” and positions the MB1 B/MB10 combination as outstanding for the price. Although a retail price was not provided in the data, the clear positive value language in the review supports a very favorable value score in line with explicit-value phrasing.
