psb Speakers Alpha S10 – 10" Subwoofer
The Alpha S10 brings fast, tight bass and a seamless blend that lets compact speakers sound bigger without exposing the subwoofer’s presence. Audiophiliac found it agile, easy to integrate, and especially rewarding for rhythmic drive, while its quiet rear slot port keeps the presentation clean. It is a refined, musical foundation for stereo-focused systems.

What Reviewers Are Saying
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Bass
90/100
The Alpha S10 adds a more visceral, weighty foundation than the main speakers alone, with reviewer descriptions of greater kick, grunt, speed and tightness. Its bass is praised as nimble and controlled rather than attention-seeking, helping smaller speakers sound more substantial.
Integration
94/100
Integration is the standout: the reviewer says the S10 blended so well that it “disappear[ed],” creating the impression that bass came from the main left and right speakers. It reportedly took very little adjustment to work well with PSB and Emotiva speakers, while adding drive without calling attention to itself.
Dynamics
90/100
The reviewer repeatedly characterizes the S10 as fast, nimble and agile, and reports more rhythmic kick and drive with compact speakers. That points to lively transient response and useful impact in a modest-sized system.
Build Quality
86/100
The rear slot port is specifically praised for staying quiet, with no audible huffing, puffing or chuffing during use. Reviewers say little about long-term durability, cabinet finish, or amplifier reliability.
Features Usability
82/100
Rear-panel volume, crossover and phase controls, an LFE setting, auto standby, and provision for the RT100 wireless accessory provide practical setup tools. However, the reviewer notes that it has RCA inputs only and no speaker-level input, which can limit compatibility with amplifiers lacking a subwoofer output.
Value for Money
85/100
At the listed $449–$849 price range, the review does not directly compare the Alpha S10 with similarly priced rivals or make a clear value claim. Its strong blending and added punch are praised, but reviewers do not say whether it is especially compelling against peers at the asking price.
