Our 30 years anniversary turntable receives the True Balanced Connection Upgrade

After the Debut Carbon EVO revolutionized the Debut series in 2020, the Debut PRO raised the bar even higher. Now, the Debut PRO B receives a new balanced MM cartridge – the Pick it PRO Balanced.

Pick it PRO Balanced

Our new Pick it PRO Balanced delivers the same lively and robust sound and is now also ready to be used in our True Balanced Connection. In that sense, it is the first MM cartridge of its kind! The perfect combination of components is the key to achieve the great charismatic sound of the Pick it PRO.

True Balanced Ready

Balanced audio connections are standard among professional musicians, recording studios, and live concerts. It is essential to have a stable & interference-free connection as these signals, The significant advantage of a balanced connection is its ability to remove picked up noise and interferences.

The Debut PRO B comes with our balanced MM cartridge - the Pick it Pro Balanced - and a balanced mini XLR phono output.

Cartridges are balanced signal transducers by nature! Due to the internal wiring of typical MM cartridges, until now, you needed to upgrade your turntable with an MC cartridge. But not with the new Pick it Pro Balanced! Our special Pick it PRO Balanced has been modified to access the entirety of that balanced signal.

Together with our separately available True Balanced Connection cables and true balanced phono stages - for example the Phono Box S3 B or DS3 B - you'll be able to access high-end features that were previously only available on the most expensive of turntable setups.

The tonearm bearing is a completely new design. Precision CNC'd out of a single block of aluminium, you can see all the production stages above. The last step is putting a nickel finish on it. This will increase the rigidity of the bearing, ensuring free and fluid movement of the tonearm and precise tracking without material degration in looks or function.

Deeply driven

The electronically regulated synchronous motor drives the platter and guarantees the most accurate and stable speeds. Change between them easily with the toggle switch. With the supplied round belt for 78 rpm you can also listen to your shellac records.

FAQs

What is the difference between Debut PRO and Debut PRO B?

The Debut PRO was released in 2021. The Debut PRO B was released in 2024 and adds a new cartridge - the Pick it PRO Balanced - and mini XLR outputs to the Debut PRO formula. This sets the Debut PRO B up to be used with our True Balanced phono stages. The Phono Box S3 B, Phono Box DS3 B, Tube Box DS3 B and Phono Box RS. All you need is a separately available True Balanced phono cable. The new mini XLR output is ideal for that! The Debut PRO B can however still be used with regular single ended phono stages as well. Note: also the old Debut PRO can be upgraded with our True Balanced Connection. As soon as you upgrade your Pick it PRO cartridge to a Pick it PRO Balanced (or any other MC cartridge) you are good to go. All that's left then, is choosing one of our True Balanced phono stages and a True Balanced RCA to mini XLR cable. Even our standard RCA outputs are configured by nature - on all of our turntables without built in phono stage - for True Balanced phono output! The small benefits of the mini XLR output on the new Debut PRO B are slightly better shielding and that mini XLR connectors are genereally more convenient as it won't require you to fuzz around with 2 RCA wires plus ground cable. There is just one, easy connector.

What are the differences between Debut PRO B and X1 B? Debut line design goals:

The Debut line has always been designed for beginners who want their start in HiFi. One approach to have a big sound stage with a warm & full sound is to compensate the weakness of small speakers via the design of the turntable and cartridge. The name „PRO“ also invites the music lover to become a HiFi audiophile because you can easily upgrade the turntable. Due to the VTA adjustment possibility, the anti-magnetic platter & the aluminium-carbon hybrid tonearm the Debut PRO is definitely ready for a moving coil (MC) cartridge.

What are the differences between Debut PRO B and X1 B? X line design goals:

The X line in comparison aims for another goal. With the X1 for example, you get a nearly perfect audiophile turntable in relation to the budget. The sound itself is more neutral and balanced & it needs a better amplifier and better speakers to reach the best possible sound. Due to the increased mass, the 4 pin point cardan bearing construction with less friction and the different choice of platter, the turntable leads to a more analytic sound.

Debut PRO B vs X1 B - Difference in features:

The main differences of the X1 compared to the Debut PRO are: 1.) Bigger chassis with more mass 2.) Cardan 4 pin point bearing influenced by our Evolution reference tonearms 3.) Bigger, more heavy duty & lower rumble platter bearing 4.) One piece acrylic platter, no hollow spaces

Debut PRO B & X1 B - Audiophile features

All the audiophile features like VTA & azimuth adjustment, height adjustable feet & the alu-carbon hybrid tonearm are the same on both models & give you the possibility to adjust & upgrade your turntable.

Debut PRO B vs X1 B - Cartridge

Both come with the same cartridge - Pick it PRO Balanced
