Ohm Walsh Walsh Tall
Ohm Walsh Talls are floor standing speakers able to reproduce the full range of music. The height is optimized for seated listening. They are typically used for 2-channel music reproduction and as the main left and right channel in combined music and home theater systems. Our patented Walsh technology is unrivaled in its ability to reproduce stunningly lifelike, powerful, three-dimensional sound. Special versions can be made for center-channel or wide ambiance application, but are generally considered ‘overkill’ for this purpose.
You choose the model based on your room size, distance you sit from the speakers, the material you enjoy and how loudly you want them to play at the maximum.
All Talls yield equivalent acoustic performance when used within the parameters each model has been engineered for. Our unique design offers the smallest footprint-to-driver size ratio feasible, yielding a peak dynamic range output that is typically found in speakers 4-8 times the physical size.
Our patented Walsh driver technology gives you the best value in speakers for audio and home theater, guaranteed. This technology also provides the most firm, precise stereo imaging over the widest sweet-sweep from any speaker in existence. This means extraordinarily natural, intelligible vocal reproduction for both music and films.
- All of our speakers are hand made in the USA and can be totally customized in shape and finish to fit your needs and room decor.
- You can browse our selection of veneers and choose one to match your room, and we can send you physical samples for final confirmation.

Walsh Tall delivers striking low-end authority and a wide, coherent soundstage thanks to its omnidirectional line-source design. Listeners get deep bass, coherent midrange and an expansive soundstage that places vocals and instruments with uncanny realism. Setup and room treatment affect treble presence, but reviewer Mel Martin found the speakers musical, well-built, and richly detailed across genres.

Bass
93/100
Reviewer repeatedly praises deep, prodigious bass from the 10" driver, rolling off just above 30 Hz and not requiring a sub. Heavy cabinet and 86 lb weight support strong low-frequency authority; slight caveat that bass-heads might still add a sub for home theater.
Mid
92/100
Multiple comments about smooth, coherent midrange and realistic vocal placement — 'singer in the room', natural acoustic instruments and excellent timbral coherence through the crossover region.
Treble
88/100
High end described as 'silky smooth' but initially subdued in the reviewer’s room (required Dirac to restore presence). Refined and non-harsh, but slightly room/placement dependent.
Soundstage Imaging
94/100
Excellent imaging and front-to-back depth; images described as taller than the speakers and stable across a wide listening area, with realistic placement on orchestral and vocal material.
Dynamics
92/100
Handles varied program material 'with aplomb'; reviewer notes the speakers benefit from higher-powered amps for more impressive dynamic presentation, with no mentions of running out of headroom.
