Muarah MT2 Special Edition
The Muarah MT2 Special Edition pairs tight, dynamic bass with a richly communicative midrange, airy smooth treble and a spectacularly expansive soundstage. Marek Dyba found its rhythmic poise, clarity and immersive scale competitive with far costlier vinyl replay, while the Sorane arm brings straightforward, comprehensive setup. It is a poised, involving deck for listeners who value musical momentum and spatial immersion.

What Reviewers Are Saying
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 91/100
The supplied Sorane SA1.2 arm helped deliver a clear, rhythmically assured and highly immersive presentation. Review listening found tight, dynamic bass, expressive mids, open treble and unusually expansive spatial presentation, with only a slightly brighter balance than a much costlier reference turntable.
Overall Sound
92/100
The review describes the presentation as clear, precise, rich and full, with strong rhythmic drive and an engaging, communicative character. Bass reaches deeply while remaining defined, the midrange is colorful and immersive, and the treble is airy, open and smooth; compared with the JSikora reference, it was a touch brighter and less dense.
Tracking Performance
89/100
The review credits the setup with tight, fast, dynamic bass and clear low-frequency extension, suggesting stable groove control on rhythmically demanding material. It does not directly discuss mistracking, resonance behavior or performance on difficult inner-groove passages.
FEATURES USABILITY PERFORMANCE 89/100
The SA1.2 provides the essential setup facilities and is described as making most adjustments particularly easy. Its 17g effective mass and standard headshell make it a natural fit for lower-compliance cartridges, though the review does not establish its range with high-compliance designs.
Adjustability
91/100
The arm includes VTF, VTA and anti-skate adjustment, and the reviewer specifically praises the smart implementation as making most settings very easy to establish. No limitation in day-to-day setup is reported.
Cartridge Compatibility
87/100
At 17g effective mass with its standard headshell, the arm is identified as a very good partner for lower-compliance cartridges. The review does not comment on suitability for lighter, higher-compliance cartridges or on alternate headshell options.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.

88/100
The reviewer says the Sorane arm's build and finish were pleasing, while also finding it enjoyable to use. The review provides little further detail on its bearings, wiring, machining tolerances or long-term durability.
Value for Money
85/100
At $4,800, the MT2 Special Edition delivered dynamics, clarity and energy that the reviewer found not far behind a significantly costlier JSikora competitor. The review does not otherwise directly assess whether the package represents strong value against similarly priced alternatives.
