Pros

Natural, midrange-focused tuning with full lower mids and very good vocal texturing.

Relaxed bass still delivers convincing punch and sturdy physicality.

Sculpted sterling-silver shell locks securely into the reviewer’s ears and has a distinctive luxury finish.

Cons

Upper treble is smooth but less extended and exciting than some premium alternatives.

Heavy, thick shell and feathered inner texture may cause concha irritation during longer sessions.

Imaging and overall technical performance are solid rather than standout for its premium price.

What Reviewers Are Saying

"This potentially is like one of my favorite sounding IEMs I've ever heard."

— Super* Review

SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 87/100

The SOLIS II is described as a midrange-led neutral IEM with a fuller lower-midrange presentation than the Blessing 3, plus controlled and physical bass. Its restrained upper treble keeps the presentation smooth, though it gives up some excitement and extension at this premium price.

Bass

88/100

Bass is not especially elevated, so listeners seeking a strongly bassy tuning may want more quantity. Even so, the dual-dynamic implementation is said to provide good punch, sturdy physicality and a relaxed but convincing foundation.

Midrange

90/100

The tuning is explicitly characterized as neutral and midrange focused, with a more continuous lower-midrange transition than the Blessing 3. Vocals sit somewhat forward without becoming aggressive, and vocal texture is singled out as very good.

Treble

85/100

Treble is reported to come through cleanly without undermining the IEM's vocal and textural strengths. Its upper range rolls off more steeply than the reviewer prefers, however, making it less sparkling and exciting than more extended alternatives.

Resolution Separation

86/100

Vocal texturing is a clear strength and contributes to an articulate, natural presentation. The review stops short of calling its resolving ability exceptional for a roughly $2,700-$3,000 IEM, so it is not presented as a technical-detail leader.

Soundstage Imaging

85/100

Imaging is described as solid and dependable. It is not portrayed as a standout spatial performer or an IEM that will impress chiefly through stage scale or pinpoint imaging.

Dynamics Coherence

86/100

The bass has a satisfyingly physical, punchy character despite its polite quantity, helping the SOLIS II avoid sounding flat. The review also praises its overall tuning direction, though it offers limited direct commentary on large-scale dynamic swings or driver integration.

FIT COMFORT ISOLATION PERFORMANCE 74/100

Its sculpted shell locks securely into the reviewer's ear, but the large, dense body protrudes somewhat and the decorative inner surface caused persistent concha irritation. The review does not provide meaningful information about passive noise isolation.

Seal Stability

88/100

The shell shape is praised as stellar for this reviewer, with an anti-tragus catch and rear contour that let it lock into place securely without feeling overly aggressive. Its thickness causes some outward protrusion, but no unstable seal or bass-loss issue is reported.

Comfort

76/100

Despite the secure fit, the dense shell and inner feathered finish caused a scratchy, irritating sensation inside the reviewer's concha. That discomfort persisted across attempts, making extended listening potentially difficult for ears with similar anatomy.

Isolation

50/100

The review says little about how much outside noise the SOLIS II blocks. No direct comparison of passive isolation, venting effects, or use in noisy environments is provided.

Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.

Build Accessories

90/100

The sterling-silver construction, gold-solder detail and jeweler-applied feathered finish make for an unusually elaborate and dense shell. The exceptionally chunky multi-strand cable is also a conspicuous premium inclusion, although the review does not address long-term durability, connector reliability or the supplied tips and case.

Value for Money

81/100

At approximately $2,700 in the review and $2,999 in the supplied product data, the SOLIS II is positioned firmly as a luxury purchase. Its lavish materials are presented as part of Moondrop's justification for the asking price, but the review does not make a strong case that it decisively outperforms similarly priced competitors.
