Pros
IP55-rated, sealed ABS enclosure and stainless-steel grille make it suitable for indoor or outdoor installations.
Versatile mounting: wall or corner fit with a tilting bracket (25°) and optional wedge for additional aiming.
C‑CAM cone drivers and a horn-loaded 25 mm tweeter deliver a controlled sound field with articulate mids and refined treble.
Cons
Brackets are sold separately, adding to the total install cost.
Limited low-frequency extension (specified to ~70 Hz), so bass depth is constrained compared with larger speakers.

SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 86/100
Bass
84/100
Dual 4" C-CAM drivers in a sealed cabinet and a stated -6 dB point of 70 Hz suggest commendable low-end for a 4" design. Expect solid mid-bass presence and controlled extension for its size; not a floorstander substitute. Sealed alignment and compact volume favor tight, well-controlled bass rather than deep sub-50 Hz extension.
Mid
88/100
C-CAM metal-cone drivers and a 2-way crossover at 2.5 kHz indicate clear, present mids with good definition and vocal presence. Sensitivity (88 dB) and recommended amp range imply the midband will remain detailed with a sensible amplifier. Monitor Audio's tuning historically favors accurate, slightly forward mids which this spec set supports.
Treble
87/100
A 25 mm C-CAM dome tweeter should deliver crisp, extended treble with good detail and air up to 25 kHz. The 2.5 kHz crossover point supports cohesive integration with the mid drivers; expect refinement without harshness when properly paired to an amp. No reviewer notes available; score based on driver type and frequency spec.
Soundstage Imaging
86/100
Compact three-driver layout and careful crossover placement typically yield focused imaging and good stereo placement for on-wall or bookshelf use. The included bracket with pivot (up to 45°) improves placement and aiming, helping soundstage width and depth in practical setups. Size limits ultimate headroom, but image focus and stability should be strong for the class.
Dynamics
82/100
100 W RMS handling and a 25–100 W recommended amplifier range give reasonable headroom for transient punch relative to a small sealed cabinet. Dynamics will be solid but inherently constrained by 4" drivers and small cabinet volume; expect controlled micro- and moderate macro-dynamics rather than thunderous impact.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
92/100
IP55 environmental rating, C-CAM drivers, gold-plated terminals, and a lifetime warranty point to high build quality and robust engineering. Wall/wing bracket design and choice of finishes (Signal White/Black) show attention to fit-and-finish and weather-resistant construction suitable for diverse installs.
Features Connectivity
81/100
Passive single-unit speaker with gold-plated push terminals attached to the mounting bracket; OEM mounting hardware/pivot included (+1 applied). No DSP/streaming expected for a passive bookshelf — baseline passive handling applied.
Value for Money
85/100
At the listed price point (305 per single unit) the V240 offers premium materials, IP55 rating and versatile mounting that justify a healthy premium over generic bookshelves. Value assessment is conservative due to absence of comparative listening reviews but specs and build suggest strong value vs typical similarly priced on-wall/bookshelf models.

Bringing indoor high-fidelity audio outside
The stylish, compact, and versatile Monitor Audio Vecta V240 speaker cleverly combines architectural aesthetics with innovation and the high-quality professional audio performance that the company is renowned for.
The Vecta V240 offers incredible versatility and simple installation. Using cleverly designed brackets and a single-point automatic connection system, Vecta can be quickly and easily mounted horizontally or vertically. Installers fix the bracket to the wall and then simply drop the speaker in place and secure it with a single screw. Not only does this installation method save integrators’ time, but it also simplifies the complexity of installing speakers at heights or at difficult angles. An automatic connection system means that the installation is extremely sleek, with no wires visible. To ensure clients receive the best audio possible when mounted to the wall bracket, Vecta can be angled by 25 degrees or tilted a further 32.5 degrees (using the optional wedge) to direct the audio to the desired location.
When installing speakers outside, a different approach is required, as these systems need to be capable of delivering a high-quality audio standard in external conditions and locations. For the Vecta V240, Monitor Audio has mounted dual 4" C-CAM metal cone drivers to the curved baffle to ensure a controlled sound field is delivered. This minimises ceiling or wall reflections when mounted under eaves or in a corner while still being wide enough for superior coverage when wall-mounted. The centrally mounted C-CAM tweeter is horn-loaded to ensure dispersion at the crossover point matches the mid-range, providing a smooth off-axis frequency response. This approach results in the ultimate audio experience, with fewer audio black spots.
The aesthetics match the performance of this speaker, as Monitor Audio has paid close attention to the design. Developed with a curved, tapered back cabinet in black or white, the Vecta V240 blends seamlessly under eaves or in vertical corners. The speakers are cased in a high-density ABS enclosure with a rustproof grille that is designed to withstand extreme environmental exposure. The completely sealed box cabinet is free from air noise or potential ingress of water and dirt, which helps to maintain the IP55 environmental protection rating.
