Monitor Audio Bronze 300 7G

Sound Advice praises fast, controlled and satisfyingly deep bass, noting that the speaker retains real low-end punch while sounding agile. Fidelity finds the bass generous, well integrated and never intrusive, although it does not attempt ultra-low extension; The Ear also reports that port bungs were unnecessary because the bass remained controlled.

Positive Feedback describes the midrange as neutral, saturated, precise and highly resolved, while Fidelity hears vivid vocals, clear speech and a cohesive treatment of acoustic instruments. Sound Advice offers the main reservation: compared with the Wharfedale Super Denton, it lacks some midrange body and the strongest sense of performers being physically present in the room.

Sound Advice welcomes the return of classic Monitor Audio sparkle, finding the top end energetic and engaging without sacrificing refinement on strident recordings. Fidelity similarly calls the treble refined, airy and controlled, with cymbals and percussion clearly rendered without becoming tiring or overbearing.

The Ear heard musicians spread three-dimensionally across the room and well beyond the cabinets, while Positive Feedback reports a wide, deep and solid stage. Fidelity also praises clear placement and effective separation, though Sound Advice finds that the image generally stays within the speakers' outer boundaries even if it remains cohesive and convincing there.

The Bronze 300 7G is repeatedly described as spirited and powerful: The Ear found thunderous drumming and full-band scale genuinely mesmerising, and Sound Advice highlights its sense of drive. Fidelity reports confident, undistorted and well-organised performance at high levels, making this a speaker that should suit larger rooms and enthusiastic listening.

Reviewers consistently describe a solid, carefully finished cabinet with secure outriggers and practical, adjustable spikes. Sound Advice calls the fit, finish and detailing exceptional for the product, while Fidelity notes useful protection for the drivers and a stable, difficult-to-topple installation.

At £1,000 in the UK, $1,699 in the US and around €1,250 per pair in Europe, reviewers are emphatically positive about what is offered. The Ear calls it astonishing value, Sound Advice says it can keep competing products at its price honest, and Positive Feedback hears performance that challenges some far more expensive speakers.
