Pros
Deep, controlled bass combines authority and texture without excessive bloom.
Wide, immersive imaging and strong instrument separation stand out for a closed-back design.
Lightweight, plush and well-built, with reviewers repeatedly praising long-session comfort and premium materials.

What Reviewers Are Saying
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 84/100
The STRADA earns substantial praise for controlled, deep bass, spacious closed-back presentation, clear separation and an easy-to-drive, detailed sound. Its tuning is also divisive: several reviewers enjoy its smooth yet lively balance, while others hear leaner timbre, uneven bass-to-midrange integration and an over-energetic upper treble.
Bass
89/100
Multiple reviewers praise deep extension, strong control and clean texture, describing bass as layered, authoritative and free of bloom. One dissenting review finds it lighter than expected for a closed-back and short on physical heft, particularly with kick drums and orchestral weight.
Midrange
82/100
Positive reviews hear a transparent, clean midrange with good presence, organization and room around instruments. More critical listeners find the mids lean, somewhat shrill or lacking body and natural warmth, especially in denser recordings.
Treble
80/100
Several reviewers find the highs smooth, clear and detailed, with useful air and little harshness during extended listening. Others report a pronounced, resonant upper-treble and presence region that can become glaring, sibilant or fatiguing on less forgiving material.
Resolution Detail
85/100
Reviewers consistently hear strong clarity, separation and readily apparent textural detail, without a generally sterile presentation. The main reservation is that some of this apparent detail may stem from upper-midrange and treble emphasis rather than especially natural microtexture.
Soundstage Imaging
86/100
For a closed-back headphone, reviewers widely praise the wide stage, convincing depth, clean separation and immersive placement of instruments. The presentation can vary by recording, however, with reports of a more in-head central image, shallow depth or less pinpoint imaging than the strongest praise suggests.
Dynamics
80/100
Some reviewers hear satisfying macro- and microdynamic contrast, immediate bass attacks and a lively, emotionally engaging presentation. In contrast, MajorHifi finds transients lacking speed, and other comments on the relaxed overall character suggest that impact is not equally persuasive across music.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Comfort Fit
93/100
Comfort is a clear strength. Reviewers repeatedly cite the light feel, plush pads, open ear-cup space, well-judged clamp and lack of pressure, with several saying they could wear the STRADA for very long sessions or all day.
Build Quality
90/100
The magnesium frame, wood cup covers, leather pads and finish receive repeated praise for their luxurious feel and attractive execution. One reviewer notes that it does not feel quite as robust as Meze's pricier LIRIC 2, but the overall construction is still described as excellent and well built.
Features Usability
87/100
The dual 3.5 mm cup connectors are welcome, and reviewers note that final packages include balanced and unbalanced cable options. Its low impedance and high sensitivity also make it easy to run from portable devices without a dedicated amplifier.
Value for Money
88/100
At around $799 to $800, reviewers generally regard the STRADA as competitive in the upper-midrange closed-back market, with one explicitly recommending it among sub-$1,000 options. The premium materials, comfort and technical performance help its case, although one reviewer wanted a more luxurious overall proposition at this price.

Manufacturer's Description — Meze Audio
YOUR OWN SPACE WITHIN THE MUSIC
Meet the STRADA - a pair of closed-back dynamic headphones crafted for tonal balance and musical intimacy. With its full-bodied sound, excellent noise isolation, and natural sense of space, the STRADA delivers a harmonious acoustic experience where detail, texture, and dynamics come through with effortless precision.
IMPACTFUL AND CLEAR SOUND
A balanced tuning with a focus on control and precision.
The low end is tight and well-defined, with a slight bass emphasis that adds punch and body. The midrange remains neutral and transparent, preserving natural timbre and separation across instruments and vocals. The treble extends with subtle energy in the upper region, revealing fine textures and spatial cues while maintaining a smooth overall presentation.
CLOSED-BACK BLISS
STRADA inherits its design from our acclaimed LIRIC chassis, reimagined around a dynamic driver architecture. Hand-built from premium materials and shaped for a natural, adaptable fit, its lightweight closed-back construction distributes pressure evenly across the head and ears, delivering a thoughtful harmony of a consistent seal, isolation, and long-wear comfort in a more versatile form.
AN ADVANCED DRIVER AT ITS CORE
At the STRADA’s core is the dynamic driver first introduced in the 109 PRO, tuned to perform within a closed-back chamber. We kept the driver’s natural character fully intact while refining its behavior to meet the acoustic demands of a sealed environment.
W-SHAPED DOME
Made of a carbon fiber-reinforced cellulose composite, the dome can reproduce high frequencies with remarkable detail, clarity, and definition. More durable than conventional alternatives used in dynamic drivers, yet lightweight, this composite helps reduce resonances that may lead to harmonic distortion.
BERYLLIUM-COATED TORUS
The torus surrounding the dome is composed of beryllium-coated semicrystalline polymer. By applying the beryllium coating through Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD), we increased the stiffness and durability of the driver, while still keeping it light enough to achieve a fast transient response. These qualities are also enhanced through the grooves on the torus, which are precisely positioned at a 45.5° angle.
Beryllium’s high damping qualities also help suppress unwanted resonances, giving STRADA its vivid and transparent character.
STABILIZED
The copper-zinc alloy stabilizer, positioned around the membrane, improves the absorption of vibrations to further reduce distortion.
COMFORT THAT INVITES YOU IN
Designed for long listening sessions, STRADA brings together gentle clamping force, deep memory-foam ear pads, and the proven ergonomics of our award-winning LIRIC design. The soft PU leather contact surface of the ear pads provides a reliable acoustic seal, while the Alcantara-lined inner chamber helps manage heat and moisture buildup inside the ear cup, reducing fatigue during extended wear.
SMOOTH ADJUSTMENT RODS
Crafted with precision and refined to move with fluid ease, STRADA’s adjustment rods let you fine-tune the fit with smooth, controlled movement, free of clicks or sudden steps.
MAGNETIC EAR PADS
The STRADA benefits from our seamless magnetic ear pad mounting system, enhancing serviceability and providing an easier, more accessible pad-swapping experience without compromising proper sealing.
EXOTIC WOOD CHOICE
The ear cups are adorned in Macassar ebony – a heavy, dense, and aesthetically pleasing hardwood known for its deep, rich brown coloration punctuated by intricate golden-brown stripes.
SOFT-PADDED HEADBAND
The headband cushions are arranged around a symmetrical cross pattern, thus distributing pressure evenly across the head. This design provides a consistent clamping force and maintains airflow, reducing heat and humidity during periods of extended listening.
