The DAC module is the core of our Digital to Analog Converter products and is the upgrade you've been waiting for! DAC3 effectively doubles the amount of R2R ladders with respect to the DAC2 transient modules. Output impedance is lower, leading to more re- and defined bass. More space: the placing of instruments can be spotted with laser-accuracy, space between instruments increases while the visceral impact of your entire setup increases in a defined way. While adding more R2R ladders and IV stages linearity is improved, leading to more audible micro details and that sense of: I have never heard that in a recording I know so well. Guaranteed listening pleasure while listening to all your recordings again...
When upgrading and placing the modules, please note that the dot on the DAC module aligns with the dot on the main circuit board. All Metrum DAC power supplies are fully capable of powering DAC3. See the Attachments section for placement instructions.
