SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 86/100
Bass
83/100
Dual 4" woofers in a sealed enclosure give stronger low-mid extension and control than a single small driver. Frequency roll-off around 80 Hz (-10 dB) limits deep bass, but the design and twin drivers suggest punchy, well-controlled bass for the cabinet's size.
Mid
88/100
1" coated silk dome tweeter and sealed design plus M&K's studio heritage imply clear, natural timbre and forward, well-defined vocals. The specified 80–20 kHz ±2 dB response supports neutral, detailed midrange reproduction.
Treble
86/100
Coated silk 1" dome typically yields smooth, non-fatiguing top end. Spec sheet shows a flat response to 20 kHz (±2 dB), indicating good extension and refinement without excessive brightness.
Soundstage Imaging
88/100
Compact sealed cabinet and small-diaphragm tweeter favor focused imaging and precise stereo placement. M&K's design intent (studio/nearfield use implied by specs and shielding) supports wide, stable soundstage for a bookshelf speaker.
Dynamics
84/100
89 dB sensitivity and 25–200 W recommended amp range indicate good headroom and punch for a small sealed monitor, though absolute slam below ~80 Hz is limited by cabinet/driver size.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
88/100
Shielded drivers, gold-plated terminals, neat sealed enclosure and modest weight (3.8 kg) point to solid construction and studio-grade engineering rather than lightweight consumer plastics.
Features Connectivity
80/100
Passive single-post speaker with gold-plated terminal and banana/screw options — passive baseline applied.
Value for Money
80/100
Price not provided. Given the spec set (dual 4" woofers, studio-style sealed design, shielding, gold terminals) this looks competitively specified; definitive value judgment requires retail pricing and peer comparisons.
