The Magnat Cinema Ultra Sub 300-THX is an active subwoofer that sets new standards in home cinema. Equipped with a massive 12.6″ / 32-cm long-throw woofer in a sealed enclosure and driven by a 550-watt (RMS) Class D amplifier, it achieves maximum sound pressure levels of over 115 dB – for bass that you not only hear, but feel.

Thanks to its THX Ultra2 certification, the subwoofer guarantees precise, distortion-free reproduction of the deepest frequency effects – exactly as they are experienced in commercial cinemas.

The front-firing 32 cm driver, equipped with an oversized magnet system and a ventilated voice coil, moves enormous air masses and remains fully controlled at all times. The particularly massive MDF enclosure is airtight and elaborately braced internally to effectively eliminate resonances.

 

A powerful Class D amplifier delivers 550 watts of continuous power and over 1,100 watts of peak power. An integrated DSP handles equalization and peak limiting, ensuring distortion-free operation at reference level – even in large rooms.

The SUB300-THX is equipped with a powerful 12.6″ / 32-cm long-throw woofer and two precisely tuned 12.6″ / 32-cm passive radiators, delivering deep, extended bass without annoying background noise. Thanks to the unvented cabinet design, airflow noise is completely eliminated even at high volumes. At the same time, the compact cabinet ensures easy, inconspicuous integration into any home cinema system.

Like the other models in the series, the SUB 300-THX also features a front in deep black, satin matte lacquer, combined with a cabinet in an anthracite-colored, brushed metal look. The magnetically attached front cover and the covers of the passive radiators ensure a tidy appearance without impairing sound transmission. A low-reflection metal logo in a brushed titanium look provides a subtle, high-quality accent.

DESIGNED FOR DEEP, POWERFUL BASS

The Magnat Cinema Ultra Subwoofer is powered by a powerful 12.6″ / 32-cm long-throw woofer and two precisely tuned passive radiators. All three elements feature low-loss rubber surrounds and multi-coated paper cones, ensuring optimal stiffness and precise control.

The woofer is mounted in a flow-optimized cast aluminum basket and driven by a dual high-performance magnet system with an inductance control ring. This ensures extremely low distortion even at high levels. The multiple-ventilated voice coil and the particularly large linear excursion allow for high power handling and maximum signal purity.

Firmly anchored in the enclosure with eight screw points, the entire system delivers tight, deep bass with exceptional clarity and noticeable impact.

CLASS D TECHNOLOGY

The SUB 300-THX is powered by a specially developed high-performance Class D amplifier, which delivers high power with minimal heat generation and a compact design thanks to modern Class D technology and a switched-mode power supply. A real-time limiter prevents overload and thus ensures clean, distortion-free bass. The active frequency range equalization meets the strict requirements of THX® Ultra2 certification.

With THX® and stereo inputs as well as adjustable volume, phase adjustment and adjustable crossover frequency (in stereo mode), the subwoofer offers maximum flexibility for various setups. Convenient features such as auto-standby, automatic power-on and extremely low standby power consumption of less than 1 watt complete this highly efficient design.

ELABORATE CABINET DESIGN

The Magnat Cinema Ultra Subwoofer features a stable, internally braced MDF cabinet with a massive, low-resonance 45mm baffle, ensuring maximum acoustic stability. The sealed cabinet concept eliminates annoying background noise even at high volumes, thus meeting the strict requirements of THX® Ultra2 certification.

Removable fabric covers and generously dimensioned, resonance-absorbing feet with central screw mounts for optional spikes complete the sophisticated, high-quality design.
