Lyngdorf Audio DW-10
The DW-10 is a shallow in-wall woofer that delivers surprisingly powerful, room-filling bass thanks to dual 10" aluminum drivers and a design that maximizes cabinet volume. It pairs neatly with Lyngdorf's Discreet mains, offering deep low-frequency extension, high output capability and refined mechanical engineering via its four-layer voice coils. Installation-friendly and built for high SPLs, says Finn de Kroon.

SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 89/100
Bass
90/100
Dual 10" aluminum cones, neodymium motors and a specified -3 dB point of 30 Hz plus 115 dB max SPL point to 1 m suggest strong extension, authority and output for an in-wall woofer. Score based on specifications (30 Hz, dual drivers, high SPL and 300 W IEC handling) in absence of listening reviews.
Dynamics
88/100
Large dual drivers with 4-layer voice coils, neodymium magnets and 300 W IEC handling imply good transient control and headroom; max SPL of 115 dB supports strong macro dynamics. Score extrapolated from mechanical and power specs in absence of reviewer listening impressions.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Integration
76/100
Designed as an in-wall/boundary woofer (recommended placement provided), which should aid blending with mains, but no review outcomes are present to confirm real-world 'disappears' or 'seamless' language. Features ≠ Integration; add outcome evidence or lower Integration.
Build Quality
92/100
MDF enclosure with internal bracing (19mm and 16mm panels), substantial 21 kg weight and premium driver materials point to rigid, well-built construction suitable for in-wall mounting. Finish options and gold-plated push terminals further support high build quality.
Features Connectivity
80/100
Passive design with gold-plated push-type spring terminals — simple, reliable connectivity but no onboard DSP, app control, wireless or integrated amplification. Baseline score applied because this is a deliberate passive installation product.
Value for Money
70/100
List price (4721) positions the DW-10 in the premium installation segment. Given strong mechanical specs but no active electronics and no available review-based verdicts calling it a 'no-brainer' or 'best in class,' value is middling relative to cost.

Manufacturer's Description — Lyngdorf Audio
Impressive bass from a shallow design
The DW-10 is a high-performance in-wall woofer with two drive-units, specifically made for custom installations that require the highest level of bass performance from the most shallow woofer solution. The rigid and sealed enclosure is very easy to integrate and fits 6 inch/15 cm cavity walls, while the extended height provides the large inner cabinet volume required for remarkable bass extension and high SPL. This design in combination with two very powerful 10 inch woofers running in parallel delivers an impressive bass performance. The DW-10 is designed for in-wall installations and floor standing, and comes with a paintable, magnetically held grill to cover the woofer front.
Two powerful high-excursion 10-inch woofers
The very limited depth inside an in-wall woofer requires a special high-performance driver. The DW-10 utilizes two patented high-excursion shallow woofers, customized for Lyngdorf Audio and based on an innovative voice-coil / cone geometry and suspension which allows the highest excursion from the most space-saving construction. A four-layer voice coil, an ultra-rigid dual aluminum cone, a very powerful neodymium magnet, and an extremely rigid cast basket provide impressive bass performance, achieving a high output level and low reach. The high-bandwidth design ensures an accurate, fast response and allows the most seamless sound integration with the main speakers.
Extremely shallow high-excursion woofer
The DW-10 utilizes two unusually shallow and patented woofers customized for Lyngdorf Audio, with an innovative voice-coil/cone geometry and suspension to allow a space-saving yet high-excursion construction.
Ideal for 6 inch / 15cm cavity walls
The DW-10 is specifically made for custom installations which require the most shallow woofer solution, perfectly fitting 6 inch/15 cm cavity walls.
Rigid enclosure construction
The sealed and rigid enclosure is made from high-quality MDF with internal bracing to avoid unwanted resonance and vibration.
