The Honest Audiophile finds the bass fun, punchy and well textured, with satisfying sub-bass rumble, mid-bass weight, slam and control. A proper seal is essential: Alpha Audio reports that a loose fit makes the sound thin and robs it of bass.

The midrange is described as warm, natural and accurate, with convincing note weight. The reviewer also praises its clarity and ability to separate and follow individual instruments and vocalists.

Treble extension, sparkle and energy receive positive comments, helping the Airoso sound lively rather than dull. However, the response has audible peaks and can sound hot depending on the source, while an insecure seal can also reduce perceived treble.

Detail retrieval is considered impressive at this price, with defined, focused elements and clear midrange separation. The main qualification is that bass-heavy tracks expose some less tidy detail definition in the low end.

The Honest Audiophile was pleasantly surprised by the wide, open stage, air and portrayal of differently sized venues. Imaging is smooth and easy to track across the stage, even if placement is not described as absolutely pinpoint-precise.

The Airoso is repeatedly characterized as engaging, with impactful punch and slam rather than a flat or restrained delivery. Smooth movement across the stage and an enjoyable all-round presentation support a cohesive listen, although the reviews offer limited direct discussion of microdynamic nuance.

Two reviewers encountered fit-related seal concerns. Alpha Audio found the fit could be too loose, causing thin sound and reduced bass and treble, while The Honest Audiophile felt all three stock tip types did not support the earpieces well; aftermarket foam tips helped substantially.

The Honest Audiophile found Sonic foam tips more comfortable than the included tips and better at supporting the shells. Alpha Audio stresses that a correct fit should disappear in use, but does not provide a clear long-session comfort verdict for the Airoso itself.

Isolation depends heavily on achieving a secure seal. Silicone tips offered limited outside-noise reduction for The Honest Audiophile because the earpieces moved around, while foam tips improved attenuation to roughly 55 percent of outside noise.

The shell is described as well built and of manageable, average weight. The package includes eight pairs of tips across materials and sizes, a storage case and a detachable, replaceable cable; however, the stock tips did not provide an equally successful fit for every reviewer.

At $130, The Honest Audiophile calls the Airoso a good headphone and an excellent, highly recommended choice. Its combination of fun tuning, detail retrieval, staging and general versatility is presented as unusual and compelling among similarly priced IEMs.
