The EX Series has been finely tuned to achieve balanced mid-range and smooth extensions at both the high and low ends, resulting in exceptional sound quality. The EX-M7 is the newest addition to this line-up of Stereo Power Amps.

With dual encapsulated 400VA Toroidal Transformers, 2 pairs of EXICON Laterals MOSFET, and a large power reservoir capacitors bank, the EX-M7 is an upgraded version of the award-winning EX-M1 in stereo power amp form.

Despite these enhancements, the EX-M7 still maintains the superb tonal quality, detail, dynamics, and high resolution that made the EX-M1 so popular.

DESIGNED for CRITICAL AUDIOPHILE

In addition to its impressive features, the EX-M7 outperforms the award-winning integrated EX-M1 in terms of slew-rate, SNR, dynamic range, and instantaneous current supply (72VDC, 18A peak current), making it a remarkable stereo power amp.

When paired with its natural mate, the EX-P7 preamp, you'll have a premium amplification solution for even the most difficult-to-drive loudspeakers, allowing you to fully experience the subtleties and nuances of your music collection.

VERSATILE STEREO POWER AMP

The EX-M7 is also fitted with a 12V trigger, which makes it an ideal partner for a premium AVR to enhance the home theater experience. It can be used to drive the Front L/R loudspeakers, as well as all the multi-channel loudspeakers in the system, by using multiple sets of EX-M7.

This means that you can enjoy high-quality amplification for the Front L/R, Rear L/R, Front Height L/R, and other speakers in your system.

HIGH DAMPING MODULAR POWER STAGE

The power amplification circuitry of the device is directly mounted on a custom-made, gold anodized heat sink, providing efficient heat dissipation. The power stage features two pairs of power EXICON MOSFETs, which are driven in Class AB to ensure optimal performance.

The device features two identical power stage modules that are arranged on the left and right sides of the chassis. These modules deliver exceptional power to the two channels, providing 250 watts into 4-8 ohms, ensuring reliable and high-quality audio performance.

The EX-M7 is designed with a high damping factor, which allows for the full potential of the loudspeakers to be unleashed and for optimal sonic performance. The device features high power rail supplies that deliver fast and high recovery DC supply to the power stage, contributing to the overall high-quality audio performance.

The device is also designed with an ultra-high slew rate and is DC-coupled, meaning that there are no capacitors in the signal path. This design feature results in exceptional acoustic performance, with neutral, transparent sound quality, exceptional detail, dynamic range, and ultra-fast transient response.

CRAFTED TO PERFECTION

The EX-M7 boasts an impressive 250 watts RMS power output into 8 ohms, making it one of the few power amplifiers in its price range capable of such driving capability. With both channels driven, it can easily power any type of loudspeaker.

The sound signature of the EX-M7 is characterized by a focus on neutrality and musicality, with the goal of achieving rich tonal quality, vivid sound imaging, exceptional detail, high resolution, and dynamic range. These sonic characteristics are the result of careful component selection, thoughtful design, and meticulous tuning, resulting in the distinctive sound signature that is a hallmark of KINKI STUDIO

We highly recommend pairing the EX-M7 stereo power amp with our award-winning EX-P7 preamp for optimal performance. Our amplifiers are Direct-DC-Coupled, which means that there are no capacitors in the signal path. This yields less coloration, higher resolution, and a more transparent and fast sound quality.

We do not recommend using a DC-Coupled OTL tube-based preamp with our amplifiers, as the DC-offset of such preamps may fluctuate as the tube ages and deteriorates. This can result in slight pops or clicks being heard through the speakers.

In general, we recommend keeping the DC-offset of your preamp/source at or below 50mVDC to minimize the risk of damage to your speakers.

It's worth noting that the DC-offset can be harmful to your speakers. However, our amplifiers are equipped with a Speaker Protection circuit at the output stage, which triggers to cut off the amplifier output (to protect the speakers) when it detects a 0.8VDC at the speaker output.

The Universal Integrated Amp?

Today's Kinki should uncramp your finger and pull that trigger. The EX for 'extreme' in the name isn't idle puffery. It's well deserved. If enough people catch on, this amp will become a classic. For now, it could already be your classic. Classy all around!

Deliciously Crispy

Kinki Studio EX-M7 — muscular control, surgical timing

The EX-M7 stakes its claim with towering power and exceptional transient authority: a direct-coupled Class A/B design that delivers commanding headroom, tight bass control and a crisply resolved top end. Reviewers such as Sandu Vitalie, Srajan Ebaen and Jaap Veenstra highlight its ability to drive demanding speakers with a sense of momentum and authority. Sonic character balances a punchy, well-defined low end with a dense, natural midrange and detailed, non-fatiguing treble; imaging is wide and layered. Build is heavy-duty and serviceable, with thoughtful touches like defeatable DC filtering, ground/earth posts and XLR/RCA inputs. Ideal for listeners who need muscle, speed and transparency in larger or more demanding systems; its combination of power, bandwidth and features makes it a compelling option in the ~€2.6–3k tier. Ultra-wide bandwidth and palpable slam are its standout strengths.

Dynamics

93/100

Reviewers consistently praise the EX-M7's headroom, slam and speaker control — described as 'juicy and snappy', 'natural bare-knuckle pugilist' and delivering greater driver control and momentary voltage swings. The amp is Class A/B with 225W RMS into 8Ω, 310W into 4Ω and 18A max (400W peak), and reviewers note it easily drives typical and demanding speakers, which supports a high dynamics rating. The measured/claimed high slew rate and wide bandwidth are cited as contributors to fast transients and authoritative bass control.

Soundstage Imaging

91/100

Multiple reviews highlight laser-locked imaging, holographic outer-region detail and very good depth/scale — 'open-sounding', '3D', and 'pinpoint location' were used. The EX-M7 preserves and even expands spatial cues at varying SPLs, maintaining stability under load and delivering convincing layering and width. One reviewer preferred a previous setup at low SPL for very subtle ambiance, but the consensus favors the Kinki's strong spatial performance.
