SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 86/100
Bass
88/100
Specs point to deep extension (16Hz -10dB) from a 250mm driver and a 109dB max SPL, and KEF's recommended large rear volume (140L) implies strong low-frequency capability for an in-ceiling install. No listening reviews were provided, so this score is generous but constrained by lack of real-room performance data.
Dynamics
82/100
109dB max SPL and a large recommended enclosure suggest good headroom and control for transients in typical installations. Without reviewer comments on slam or compression, this remains an informed estimate from specs and THX-level design intent.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Integration
76/100
THX Certified Ultra and recommended low-pass settings (50–120Hz) indicate KEF designed this to blend with mains, but there are no review outcomes describing how it 'disappears' or whether it produces overhang. Features ≠ Integration; add outcome evidence or lower Integration.
Build Quality
88/100
THX certification, IP64 rating and KEF's reputation point to solid engineering and installation-grade build. The product data lacks detailed materials/finish descriptions, so score reflects likely high quality but not hands-on verification.
Features Connectivity
80/100
Passive baseline applied. Requires KEF KASA500 amplifier, provides recommended low-pass filter range and clear cut-out/mounting specs; IP64 rating helps placement flexibility. No smart app or wireless features noted—straightforward installation-focused feature set.
Value for Money
65/100
At $1,999 this is a premium installation product. The specs and THX certification justify a high price for dedicated installs, but absence of comparative review language such as 'best in class' or 'no-brainer' prevents a top value score.
