LOADING PRINCIPLE:

The LUNNA MKII uses a tuned triangular transmission line, vented to the front.
This design allows placement close to the rear wall (from 40 cm / 16 inches), while avoiding bass masking effects.

The cabinet, made from 19 mm MDF and press-assembled, features no parallel internal walls—minimizing standing waves and reducing the need for internal damping.
The rounded front edges and acoustic felt around the drivers limit early reflections and help optimize directivity.

The tweeter is housed in an isolated chamber, eliminating any mechano-acoustic intermodulation with the mid/bass driver.

FILTERING:

The 2.5-way passive crossover features asymmetrical slopes of 6/12/12 dB per octave, with crossover points at 300 Hz and 2800 Hz
It has been carefully recalibrated to ensure perfect phase alignment and a coherent soundstage.
All components are custom-selected, maintaining consistent audiophile-grade quality in line with JMR’s signature standards.

Mid/bass driver – 13 cm next-generation JMR unitThis exclusive long-fiber paper cone driver is equipped with a 30 mm voice coil mounted on a ventilated aluminum support, ensuring excellent control in the low frequencies.
Its motor includes a copper ring that linearizes impedance and significantly reduces harmonic distortion
The rigid open-frame aluminum basket and ventilated suspension system improve heat dissipation and dynamic responsiveness.

25 mm soft dome tweeter with neodymium magnetMounted in a tuned mini-chamber, this tweeter offers a low resonance point at 650 Hz, an extended frequency response, and a smooth, progressive directivity
Its waveguide-shaped front plate, made of injection-molded ABS, enhances efficiency without introducing harshness.

STRONG POINT OF USE :

Thanks to its very low directivity, LUNNA MKII delivers a stable stereo image without requiring precise positioning.
A slight toe-in is all it takes to enjoy a well-focused and layered soundstage.

The ideal spacing is about 2 meters (6.5 feet) from center to center, but it may vary depending on room acoustics and dimensions.
For optimal performance, place the speakers at least 40 cm (16 inches) away from side and rear walls.
