Like our Bass Optimizer, The High End Crossover provides electronic compensation and protection for the TN Series. However, if you use a preamp without a crossover, Dolby Digital, or bass management, the Bass Optimizer is not enough. Our High-End Crossover provides both high and low pass RCA type line level outputs. The crossover frequency is set by the interchangeable Crossover Modules. A volume knob lets you adjust the subwoofer level, and a subsonic filter protects the subwoofer from out of range signals. It is a ultra high quality, discrete high pass, pure class A 24dB/octave Linkwitz-Riley low/high pass crossover.

Setup is straight-forward. Most people take the volume knob controlled line-level output from their Preamp and run that into the High End Crossover. They then take the High End Crossover outputs and run them into the amplifiers for the mains and subwoofers.

Features include:

• Level control, phase inversion switch, and full-range/bi-amp switch controls.
• Discrete FET with zero overall feedback for the high pass section.
• Both high and low pass sections are biased Class A.
• Only high grade components are used. For example, it uses only high accuracy polypropylene capacitors in the signal path (even the power supply bypass capacitors are high accuracy polypropylene capacitors).
• A front panel switch for instant switch-over between running your main speakers full-range, and running them with the subwoofers in bi-amplified mode.
• A switch for inverting the phase of the subwoofer output for matching the phase with the main speakers.
• The crossover has a level control for adjusting the subwoofer level.
• The unit's crossover frequency can be adjusted by changing plug-in frequency modules, which are available for 28, 34, 43, 51, 62, 75, 91, 109, 131, and 155 Hz. The unit comes with a free 91 Hz module.
