Modular design – Upgrade the standalone sealed D15-Chimera to a ported sub by adding the Supercharger (SC)
Easier to handle – this two-piece system is the only super powerful subwoofer on the market that is simple to install and move. This is especially useful for basement or 2nd-floor installations.
Beast Mode performance – 3-port option delivers ultra-deep bass with less port noise than dual TN1s, while matching their performance in 2- and 4-port modes.
Customizable port direction – Choose forward-facing ports for a bold look, or rear-facing to fire toward the wall and keep them hidden. We personally love facing the ports into the room - we think it looks cool!
High-performance specs – dual 15” side-firing woofers and 1200W RMS power
Features balanced XLR, unbalanced RCA and high level inputs for greater flexibility.
Balanced XLR inputs protect against noise caused by RF interference, RMI, etc., for usage in high-end audio and professional audio (studio, live sound environments).
Furniture-grade smooth satin black painted finish. Unlike vinyl, used by many of our competitors.
7 years woofer warranty and 5 year electronics warranty.
Want to know the history? Years ago, Dr. Hsu introduced the turbocharger for the VTF-3. It was a unique concept that allowed the VTF-3 in max extension mode to have both ports open, allowing high output ultra-low bass with minimal port noise. Fast forward to 2025, and mad scientist Dr. Hsu has now made the supercharger convert a sealed to a ported sub.
Note: While the D15-Chimera is its own standalone sealed dual 15" sub that will be sold as its own separate sub ($1799) and the supercharger can be purchased separately for $499.
