Modular main monitoring system The TYPE 40 System is a digital, modular monitoring system built around the full-range TYPE 40 Main, an active three-way reference monitor. Developed for studios that need a compact solution that can provide more output, low-frequency reach, and listening distance than near field monitors without the size and complexity of a traditional large-format main system. By combining the TYPE 40 Main monitor with up to three XTD modules, studios can install the capacity they need today and expand later, as needed, while benefiting from a range of features including cardioid bass control, closed or ported, and time-aligned monitoring.
