Lineariser®
The heart of the MK2 range’s DSP, the HEDD Lineariser is a high-resolution, zero-phase filter designed to automatically eliminate time delays in order to improve resolution, separation, and imaging accuracy. Ideal for engineering and producing setups.
CoP: Closed or Ported
With CoP all MK2 monitors can act as either a closed or ported cabinet with the use of a POM plug. These two monitoring systems give you different advantages depending on needs: ported (open) lets you feel the music with more bass response while closed increases bass precision, texture resolution, and transient response.
Group Delay Compensation
To achieve true sound integration and system-wide phase linearity between the MK2 monitors and BASS subwoofers, we created a tool that compensates for the longer group delay of the subwoofers. This removes standard problems such as smeariness and disorientation that are often inherent in the use of traditional subwoofers.

Built around an 8" woofer, 2" voice coil and 300 W ICEpower amp, the BASS 08 delivers a tight, well-controlled low end with claimed 24 Hz (19 Hz LFE) extension and up to 105 dB SPL. Its advanced DSP and Lineariser with 96 kHz/32‑bit AD/DA enable precise tuning and integration, while pro AES/XLR I/O and filtered outputs keep it studio-ready and compact.
Pros
- Controlled, deep bass from an 8" woofer, 2" voice coil and 300 W amp with claimed 24 Hz (19 Hz LFE) extension and 105 dB SPL.
- High-resolution DSP and Lineariser (96 kHz / 32-bit AD/DA) for precise tuning, room correction and consistent performance.
- Pro-grade connectivity (Analog XLR, AES digital, filtered analog outputs and AES pass-through) eases integration into studio and hi‑fi systems.
Sound Quality
89/100
Bass
90/100
Specs show an 8" woofer with a 2" voice coil, 300 W ICEpower amp and 24 Hz (19 Hz LFE) claimed extension plus 105 dB SPL — indicates tight, well-controlled low end for an 8" design with good output. No reviewer measurements provided, so score reflects strong spec sheet and DSP (HEDD Lineariser) rather than independent listening comparisons.
Dynamics
88/100
300 W ICEpower amplification, 2" voice coil and 105 dB SPL capability suggest good transient control and headroom for its size. High-res AD/DA and DSP processing should preserve micro- and macro-dynamic detail; no reviewer listening notes to confirm perceived slam or compression behavior.

Integration
84/100
The unit offers variable phase and crossover, filtered analog outputs, digital AES pass-through and high-resolution DSP (96 kHz / 32 bit), all of which facilitate system integration. Features ≠ Integration; add outcome evidence or lower Integration. In absence of reviewer outcome language (e.g., 'seamless,' 'disappears'), this score is optimistic but tempered by lack of real-world blend reports.
Build Quality
90/100
17 kg mass, pro-grade inputs (XLR/AES), premium ICEpower amp and HEDD's usual industrial design point toward solid cabinet and component quality. No durability or long-term review evidence supplied, so score is based on brand/spec impressions.
Features Connectivity
80/100
Passive baseline applied.
Value for Money
82/100
At ~€1,299 the spec set (8" woofer, 300 W amp, 96 kHz/32-bit DSP, Lineariser, AES I/O) feels competitively priced for a pro/hi-fi DSP-equipped sub. No reviewer language calling it a 'no-brainer' or 'best in class,' so value is rated modestly high but not exceptional.
