What Reviewers Are Saying
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 78/100
The available listening report describes an unusually lively, involving presentation with striking punch from a compact-looking enclosure. It is particularly emphatic about dynamic impact, but offers little direct commentary on tonal balance, imaging, or low-frequency extension.
Bass
75/100
Although the MACH 4 uses four woofers and is specified to reach 27Hz, the available review does not directly assess bass extension, control, texture, or room interaction. Its reference to powerful punch suggests impact, but is not enough to establish a fuller low-frequency verdict.
Mid
75/100
The review calls the sound involving and live, which may point to an engaging presence through voices and instruments. It does not specifically discuss vocal timbre, tonal neutrality, or crossover coherence.
Treble
75/100
There is no direct reviewer commentary on treble extension, air, detail, sweetness, or possible brightness. The available report therefore leaves the MACH 4's high-frequency character largely unexplored.
Soundstage Imaging
75/100
The available review does not describe stage width, depth, image focus, or layering. Listeners seeking evidence about spatial presentation would need more detailed audition reports.
Dynamics
94/100
Mono & Stereo singles out the MACH 4's "Thor like punch" and describes the presentation as highly dynamic and live. That language points to a speaker with immediate attack, strong musical drive, and an ability to make performances feel energized.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
75/100
The supplied material identifies the distinctive Semi Resonant Tube design and a tall, narrow cabinet, but provides no direct assessment of finish quality, cabinet solidity, terminals, or long-term durability. Reviewers say little about the physical execution beyond the design description.
Value for Money
85/100
At $13,200, the MACH 4 competes in a demanding high-end floorstander market. The available review offers no direct comparison with rivals or explicit judgement on whether its performance justifies the asking price.

About Mach 4
Unlike conventional loudspeakers, all Mach models are completely free from crossovers or any equalization/correction elements. Each driver is a full-range unit, carefully engineered to deliver an unadulterated sound. The only exception is a subtle cut for the super tweeter, which cannot be called a crossover in the traditional sense, as it does not divide the audio signal into separate frequency ranges. By eliminating capacitive, inductive, or resistive components, the Mach 4 maintains a system impedance that closely matches the natural impedance of the free-air drivers. This ensures exceptional damping, stability, and a coherent, linear response.
Traditional crossovers often reduce the system’s minimal impedance dramatically—sometimes to a fraction of the nominal value—placing heavy demands on the amplifier. By contrast, the Mach 4 preserves an impedance extremely close to the driver’s own coil “Re,” providing an ideal environment for the amplifier to perform at its best. The result is a system with superior damping, minimal time distortion, and the absence of phase shifts, all of which contribute to extraordinary detail, speed, coherence, and spatiality.
About S.R.T.
The Mach 4 is the pinnacle of Grandinote’s pursuit of pure, crossover-less sound. After years of experimentation, we created our own mechanically treated drivers—eliminating break-up without sacrificing musicality. This innovation allows the signal to remain completely free of electronic filters, preserving coherence, speed, and natural timbre.
Housed in our exclusive Semi Resonance Tube (S.R.T.) cabinet, the Mach 4 delivers bass that is impossibly deep, tight, and agile, unlike any reflex or transmission line design. Combined with silky highs and effortless spatiality, the result is a loudspeaker of extraordinary refinement—a true luxury instrument that brings music to life with unmatched realism and emotion.
