3-way floor-standing speaker

The flagship model in the Vestia range, Vestia N°2 is a bass-reflex hi-fi speaker that combines the elegance of a sober design with exclusive Focal technologies for high-definition sound. The sloping stands create a soundstage centred on the listener, for even greater immersion and emotion, in stereo or home cinema.

FOCAL TECHNOLOGIES

The Vestia N°2 loudspeakers feature a Slatefiber cone, made from recycled carbon fiber in our French workshops. This membrane is the source of detailed sound. The TAM "M" profile tweeter enhances the treble.

AN ALL-ENCOMPASSING BASS

Vestia loudspeakers are front-ported for greater frontal impact, and rear-ported for an all-encompassing bass: a bass-reflex profile that enhances the depth of the soundstage.

TIMELESS DESIGN

Leather-effect fronts (black or white) and three elegant finishes (Black High Gloss, Light Wood and Dark Wood) bring singularity and character to loudspeakers and the living spaces in which they are installed.

Deliciously Crispy

A compellingly musical floorstander, the Vestia N°2 combines refined treble, a distinctly engaging midrange and tight, authoritative bass with wide, layered staging and lively dynamics. Reviewers from The Ear and Audioholics note the TAM tweeter, Slatefiber drivers and room‑friendly sensitivity, making it a standout value in its class.

The Ear

"Hats off to the R&D team at Focal for putting their in-car TAM tweeter technology into a domestic loudspeaker to create the first metal-dome design that I could live with."

Pros

  • Refined, non‑sibilant treble delivered by the TAM aluminium/magnesium inverted‑dome tweeter.
  • Highly engaging, realistic midrange with strong vocal clarity and imaging.
  • Tight, well‑integrated bass and notable dynamic punch for a compact three‑way tower.
  • Strong performance‑for‑price with attractive finishes and thoughtful engineering (Slatefiber cones, urethane waveguide).

&

Cons

  • Limited lowest‑octave extension compared with larger towers — many listeners will pair with a subwoofer for the deepest bass.
  • Some cost‑saving touches (packaging, terminal quality and certain finishes) versus higher‑tier Focal ranges.

Bass

93/100

Dual 6.5" woofers in a bass-reflex cabinet deliver impressive extension and tight control for a speaker this size. Reviewers noted 'enveloping bass', 'clean and tight' low end and good integration with the midrange; some placement/port-bung hints suggest minor room sensitivity but overall authority is strong.

Mid

94/100

Slatefiber mid driver and tuned crossover produce highly engaging, realistic midrange with excellent vocal presence. The review highlights 'exceptional midrange', clear separation of ensemble parts and convincing timbral nuance, supporting very high midband fidelity.

Treble

93/100

TAM Al/Mg inverted-dome tweeter yields refined, well-controlled highs with negligible sibilance. The reviewer emphasises a delicate, nicely proportioned top end and specifically praises an absence of metallic harshness common to metal domes.

Soundstage Imaging

93/100

Speakers present a deep, tall and layered soundstage with strong imaging and pace. Reviewers described an almost 3D presentation, good width/depth and excellent placement cues that create an involving soundfield.

Dynamics

93/100

Shows notable macro- and micro-dynamic capability for compact towers; reviewers reported impactful, room-moving moments and energetic delivery at higher SPLs. Dynamics are a clear strength, with no reviewer comments about the speakers 'running out of steam.'
