Focal 100 OD6
Focal 100 OD6 — Rugged, Hi‑Fi sound for gardens, terraces and boats
The Focal 100 OD6 brings the company's acoustic pedigree outdoors with a compact, weatherproof design and a sonic focus that belies its size. Built around a 6.5" Polyglass woofer and an aluminum inverted‑dome tweeter, the 100 OD6 delivers a clear midrange and airy treble with usable low‑end down to the mid‑60Hz region (specs: 65Hz–23kHz, -6dB ~55Hz). With a nominal 8 Ω load and 20–120W recommended amplification, it offers solid dynamics for outdoor playlists when properly powered.
Construction is a standout: IP66-rated protection, fixed aluminum grilles and anti‑UV treatments make the OD6 a true outdoor workhorse, engineered for seaside terraces and poolside installs. The cabinet's orientation flexibility (mount vertically or horizontally) and included felt accessories help the speaker integrate discreetly into patios or yacht decks. As noted by Best of High End, the Littora/100 range aims to deliver uncompromising Hi‑Fi performance in challenging environments.
Performance highlights reflect strengths in midrange clarity and treble detail, plus top‑tier build quality—making the 100 OD6 a compelling choice for audiophiles wanting fidelity and durability outdoors.

SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 86/100
Bass
86/100
6.5" Polyglass woofer with -6dB point at ~55Hz and 65Hz (+/-3dB) indicates solid low-end for a 6.5" driver. Reasonably extended and controlled for outdoor use; sensitivity (87dB) and recommended amp range imply usable slam but not subwoofer-level extension.
Mid
88/100
Polyglass woofer and Focal engineering point to clear, well-bodied mids; driver size and enclosure should deliver natural vocal presence and timbre appropriate for its class.
Treble
88/100
Aluminum inverted dome tweeter typically yields clean, detailed top end with good extension to 23 kHz. No reviewer data, but spec suggests crisp, airy treble without excessive harshness when properly driven.
Soundstage Imaging
84/100
Outdoor-form factor and fixed grille/rotating logo for orientation indicate competent imaging for near-field/listening axis, but expect less deep indoor soundstage compared with open-room loudspeakers.
Dynamics
84/100
Recommended amp 20-120W and 87dB sensitivity provide decent headroom and punch for outdoor playback. Dynamics should be good with adequate amplification but sensitivity tempers very high-efficiency performance.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
90/100
IP66 rating, fixed aluminum grille, rotating logo and felt accessories indicate robust weatherproofing and thoughtful mechanical design consistent with Focal's premium build standards.
Features Connectivity
80/100
Passive baseline applied. Speaker is passive (nominal impedance 8Ω, recommended amp power listed); no DSP/streaming expected for this product class.
Value for Money
83/100
At a listed price of ~500 (assumed per pair/piece per listing ambiguity) this is a premium, weatherproof offering. Strong build and Focal branding justify the price, though it's not a budget bargain vs generic outdoor speakers.
