A British Audiophile calls its clarity and low-frequency control class-defining, saying it uncovers tonal variations that competing amplifiers cannot. StereoNET also hears plentiful midrange detail, although its softer, more diffuse treble means the amplifier is not presented as the last word in absolute accuracy.

StereoNET describes a warm, fulsome upper bass, neutral-to-creamy midrange and sweet, grain-free treble, while HiFi News hears a tube-like silkiness and strong overall coherence. The trade-off is a slightly soft top end in some material, and A British Audiophile notes a forward balance with some upper-mid hardness that can expose harsh recordings.

The 3510 is repeatedly praised for its punch, transient snap, speaker control and ability to drive demanding loudspeakers with ease. StereoNET says it thumps through music at high levels with relative ease, though it does not quite deliver the ultimate high-volume dynamic scale of Exposure's separate pre/power combinations.

HiFi News reports an open yet cohesive presentation that makes individual voices easy to follow, and StereoNET finds the image respectably wide with worthwhile depth. Both StereoNET and A British Audiophile stop short of calling staging a standout, citing a slightly closed-in character and limited depth compared with certain rivals.

StereoNET finds the all-aluminium casework superior to many competitors' pressed-steel construction. A British Audiophile also highlights the substantial chassis heatsink and its isolation role between sensitive circuitry and the transformer, though the reviews offer little comment on long-term durability.

The 3510 provides six RCA line inputs, a tape loop, twin pre-outs, doubled speaker terminals, a front headphone socket and AV input with home-theatre bypass. Optional MM or MC phono and DAC modules allow owners to tailor the amplifier, although these capabilities add to the purchase cost and there are no native digital or network inputs as supplied.

At £2,250, HiFi News considers the asking price realistic, while StereoNET calls it a genuinely capable proposition for cost-conscious mid-market buyers. Reviewers regard it as an accomplished all-rounder whose power, clarity and flexibility make a persuasive case against similarly priced alternatives.
