What Reviewers Are Saying
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 87/100
The available coverage highlights exceptional low-frequency reach and large-scale dynamic capability, alongside a refined high-frequency presentation. It offers little direct listening evidence about vocal realism or the precision of its stereo image, despite describing the speaker’s adjustable dispersion concept.
Bass
96/100
Best of High End describes the four side-mounted 10-inch woofers as delivering “effortless reach into the lowest octaves.” Its account also calls out unprecedented dynamic power, suggesting bass with substantial authority rather than merely added weight.
Mid
75/100
The review describes ELAC’s crystal-cone low/mid drivers and their extended operating range, but offers no direct listening observations on vocal presence, tonal colour, or crossover coherence. There is therefore little published evidence about how naturally the speaker renders the midrange.
Treble
91/100
The JET tweeters are described as providing brilliant, lifelike high-frequency reproduction. That points to an open and highly detailed top end, although the review does not discuss whether this character remains smooth with brighter recordings or electronics.
Soundstage Imaging
76/100
The review explains the Concentro’s point-source concept and adjustable VX-JET dispersion, which can alter the balance of direct and diffuse sound at the seat. It does not provide direct listening impressions of stage width, depth, image focus, or layering.
Dynamics
96/100
Best of High End explicitly credits the four 10-inch woofers with unprecedented dynamic power. The description of effortless low-octave reach further suggests the Concentro M.2 is designed to remain composed and forceful on demanding, large-scale music.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
91/100
The published description points to an unusually substantial construction: a 140 kg monolithic cabinet sits on a 25 kg stand milled from a single aluminium block. ELAC also specifies premium wiring and crossover materials, though the review does not offer a long-term ownership assessment of fit, finish, or reliability.
Value for Money
85/100
At roughly $29,000 to $45,000, the Concentro M.2 competes in a demanding high-end segment where engineering ambition and physical scale are expected. The available review does not directly assess whether it outperforms similarly priced alternatives or represents especially strong value at its asking price.

Crystal Membrane Driver
Engineered for Low Distortion
Based on ELAC’s Aluminum-Sandwich AS Technology. Resembling the surface of a large crystal, the aluminum-foil stamping stiffens the aluminum dome, diminishing resonances and minimizing coloration, while improving power handling and dynamics. The voice coil design of the drivers results in an expanded frequency range, and driver surround allows for longer cone excursions for truly prodigious volume and lowest distortion, a unique engineering achievement for a driver of its size.
JET 6 Tweeter
Lightning-Fast Response and Wide Dynamic Range
Delivering true high-definition sound, ELAC’s JET 6 tweeter enthralls with its lightning-fast response and wide dynamic range, offering minimal distortion, lots of headroom, and a distinctly wider frequency range than conventional dome tweeters. The ELAC JET tweeter is one of the most legendary tweeters in the industry and has won international praise for its transparent and effortless sound image.
