Davis Acoustics KRYPTON 6
3 way floorstanding speaker
The Krypton 6 is the smallest floor standing speaker of the KRYPTON range. Discreet by its silhouette, it is nevertheless formidable by its sound qualities.
This 3-way column with bass reflex charge is ideal for rooms from 15 to 30m2.
The technical team has worked on each of the transducers to bring transparency and veracity to the sound message. Thus, the tweeter (specially designed for the range) is composed of a “rear chamber” to capture the rear wave of the dome (and thus reduce its distortion), the midrange made of a 7th generation of Kevlar cone ensures incredible precision and detail for this price category.
Finally, the unique 13 cm (5 inch) woofer provides a fast and punchy bass. It is mounted in a good volume that opens into a laminar port on the front panel, which makes it easy to position in the listening room.
Power & Refinement
Available in 3 trendy finishes, the Krypton 6 is proposed with a magnetic cover equipped with a heathered fabric of the most beautiful effect. The Krypton 6 can be easily positioned by adding a stand (included) that tilts the speaker slightly backwards.

Sleek and unexpectedly powerful for its size, the Krypton 6 delivers controlled, deep bass, a lively midrange and precise stereo imaging thanks to its three-way drivers and front laminar port. Tomasz Karasiński of StereoLife Magazine notes excellent placement flexibility and high sensitivity, making these compact floorstanders unusually engaging for typical listening rooms.
Pros
- Controlled, deep bass with minimal boom even when placed close to walls, delivering surprising low-end authority for a compact floorstander.
- Precise stereo imaging and a three-dimensional soundstage that make instrument placement and spatial detail standout strengths.
- Placement-friendly front laminar port and high 91 dB sensitivity give flexibility in smaller rooms and pair well with tube or lower-powered amps.
- Thoughtful build: solid MDF enclosures, magnetic grilles with soft pads and included stabilizing plinths show practical, user-focused engineering.

Cons
- Midrange can sound a touch harsh initially and may benefit from a break-in period or warmer electronics.
- Stabilizing plinths are a bit narrow and could be deeper/wider for greater stability and aesthetic balance.

Bass
92/100
Reviewer repeatedly praises bass clarity, depth and control for a compact three-way tower, noting a 45 Hz spec and absence of boom even when close to walls. Given the dual ~13 cm woofers (small-tower class) and described 'deep and dynamic' low end, this sits in the 'excellent' band for small towers.
