The Courbet N°7 prioritises roundness, naturalness and composure over explosive transient force. Listeners seeking overt slam, aggressive attacks or a highly dramatic sense of musical propulsion may find it restrained, particularly through the low bass.

The N°7 uses purpose-developed drivers, including a carbon-cone woofer, Kevlar midrange and 28mm soft-dome tweeter, and the reviewer notes good-quality single-wire terminals. The review presents the engineering credibly, although it offers limited direct commentary on cabinet finish, bracing or long-term durability.

At around €4,500, the Courbet N°7 is a substantial purchase and needs carefully chosen amplification, cables, setup and an appropriately sized room to show its full potential. The reviewer nevertheless felt the price would not seem excessive for listeners able to provide that supporting system, especially given its versatility across musical styles and long-term listening appeal.
