there is no compression or distortion, this model is dynamic, yet delicate with the most beautiful tone. A perfect step between our Alpha II and Beta II and ready to go to be upgraded to our Beta II.

Extremely efficient, it is perfectly matched for low powered triode amplifiers. The Beta 0.5 II produces a solid three dimensional sound stage, breathtaking transients, totally natural reproduction which will literally take your breath away. Like all Cessaro loudspeakers the Beta 0.5 II drivers are time- and phase-alligned.

The Cessaro Beta 0.5 II is a 4-way horn loudspeaker system:

Bass

One pair of external backloaded horns with 16" Alnico drive units (active powered by our new analog power amp.)

Low-Mid

Sealed box with 1" Alnico driver (prepared for holding the massive composite low-mid horn later on)

Midrange

Our new spherical composite horn with extremely powerful 2" TAD TD-4001 compression driver

Treble

Modified TAD ET-703 compression drive unit with Cessaro brass horn, beryllium diaphragm and cobalt magnet

Driver

When it comes to drivers our quality standard is the Japanese top manufacturer TAD. Even if TAD drivers are only rarely used nowadays because of their pricing structure, they are without an alternative for the technical realization of  our acoustical demands.

TAD drivers with their beryllium diaphragm offer the benefit to react twice as fast as other diaphragm materials. Also it is light and stable like no other material. Because of the rapidity acoustical details can be reproduced, that couldn't be heard otherwise. Speakers with beryllium diaphragm also react significantly more impulsive.
