What Reviewers Are Saying
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Bass
84/100
Alpha Audio describes the 10-inch unit as capable of “deep and solid bass reproduction” and sees it as a compact solution for adding extra “oomfff” to a system. The review is positive about low-end weight, though it offers little detail on texture, extension in-room, or control at demanding levels.
Integration
55/100
The review says the built-in CRCS room correction provides sound tailored to the listening room, which should be useful during setup. It does not report a listening outcome such as a seamless blend with satellite speakers, freedom from boom, or whether the sub disappears in the system.
Dynamics
50/100
Alpha Audio notes the substantial available amplification and presents the Pearl Sub as a source of added impact, but does not describe transient punch, sustained headroom, compression, or behaviour at high playback levels.
Build Quality
50/100
The review calls the unit a “very nice little ball,” but provides no meaningful assessment of cabinet rigidity, finish quality, driver durability, or amplifier-module construction.
Features Usability
87/100
The Pearl Sub combines bass amplification with two 600-watt channels for satellite speakers, making it a notably self-contained 2.1 hub. Alpha Audio also highlights CRCS room correction, NAS streaming, wireless operation, and aptX Bluetooth support; however, it does not comment on app reliability or day-to-day control ergonomics.
Value for Money
85/100
At €3,790–€5,499, this is a premium all-in-one subwoofer and amplification solution. Alpha Audio considers it an option worth considering for listeners seeking added bass and a complete setup, but does not compare it with similarly priced rivals or directly assess whether its asking price is justified.

ONE OF A KIND
ONE OF A KIND
THE PEARL SUB: The world's first high-definition connected subwoofer.

EVEN MORE DYNAMICS AND PRECISION
THE PEARL SUB is equipped with a 25 cm woofer with linear excursion of up to 30 mm, powered by 2000 watts peak for a deep bass level.

DEAP TECHNOLOGY
DEAP TECHNOLOGY
THE PEARL SUB gets the best out of each of these speakers via its patented DEAP technology. This allows for optimization of the digital signal depending on whether you have Baltic 5, Riga 2, or iO3 speakers.
To activate it, a few clicks are enough in the free StreamCONTROL application available on iOS and Android.
THE PEARL SUB, with its microphone, also integrates a patented automatic room correction system for optimized acoustics regardless of the listening location (CRCS).
COMPACT AND SLEEK DESIGN
COMPACT AND SLEEK DESIGN
THE PEARL SUB rests on a raw steel stand that is cut, folded, and then chrome-plated, suspending the subwoofer in the air for a refined and airy design. 4 layers of matte paint were necessary for a perfect finish of the sphere.
At the back, 4 carbon terminals allow for powering speakers with a maximum nominal power of 300 watts.
