Pros
Delivers unusually deep, tight, and distortion-free bass for a compact active system.
Produces clear, believable mids with strong vocal presence and natural timbre.
Creates a wide, deep soundstage with precise imaging and a dark, resolved background.
Offers impressive dynamics and scale, making high-output listening feel effortless.
Cons
Gapless playback issues and quiet ticks between tracks can interrupt seamless album listening.
The treble is intentionally laid back, which may feel too smooth for listeners who prefer more forward high frequencies.
Using network audio between the speakers for TV playback can introduce noticeable latency unless the optical link is used.

What Reviewers Are Saying
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 93/100
Reviewers consistently describe the RIALTO as a full-range, highly coherent active system with strong bass, natural mids, clean treble, and a large, well-defined presentation. The main character is balanced but a little warm-leaning, with enough refinement and power to feel more like a compact hi-fi system than a conventional bookshelf speaker.
Bass
93/100
Bass is repeatedly praised as deep, tight, controlled, and unusually authoritative for the cabinet size. One review says the speakers had the listener “questioning many of the things” learned about physics, while another notes strong output down to the claimed 30 Hz region with little steep roll-off and no slouchy bass.
Mid
94/100
The midrange is described as clear, believable, vivid, and natural, with vocals and acoustic instruments rendered with real presence. Reviewers highlight coherence from the coaxial design and say the sound avoids the over-interpretation that can make more affordable systems feel less natural.
Treble
92/100
Treble comes across as airy, clean, and revealing, but also gentle and free of glare. Both reviews mention a smooth, refined top end, with bow attacks and snare transients rounded just enough that harshness and brightness are not a problem.
Soundstage Imaging
95/100
The RIALTO earns especially strong praise for image focus and spaciousness. Reviewers describe a pitch-black background, clear separation without sounding segmented, proper depth, an image that seems to “extract” itself from the speakers, and a soundstage that feels vast and enveloping.
Dynamics
93/100
Dynamics are a clear strength, with comments about vivacity, effortlessness, and an immense power reserve. Reviewers also praise low-level detail, realistic snare reproduction, and distortion-free peaks at very high volumes, all of which suggest exceptional energy for the format.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
92/100
Reviewers describe the finish as premium and the fit and finish as impressive enough to make the asking price feel reasonable. The speakers also come across as physically substantial and solidly made, though the reviews focus more on the industrial design and presentation than on long-term construction details.
Value for Money
89/100
At roughly €2,990 to just under $4,000, reviewers treat the RIALTO as expensive but convincingly justified by what it delivers. The language is strongly favorable for value in context, with comments that it would be hard to find a system that sounds as good for under $4k and that it is a complete audiophile system with impressive capabilities.

Manufacturer's Description — Cabasse
Inspired by Venice’s most iconic and historic bridge, this audio system embodies the union between classic Hi-Fi and the connected technologies developed by Cabasse over the past decade. It features the brand’s finest acoustic and software innovations, housed in a pair of compact, connected active speakers with smooth, rounded lines— evoking the refined design of the Cabasse Murano.
A sound with remarkable dynamics and presence for a bookshelf speaker
Although very compact, the RIALTO speakers have the remarkable ability to convey the emotion and impact of live sound, with vocals that stand out and instruments that fill the space. They deliver the full dynamics and precision of high-resolution recordings—a technological feat made possible by numerous Cabasse innovations:
Patented HELD (High Excursion Low Distortion) woofers
Capable of delivering powerful, deep, and precise bass with virtually no distortion. Featuring a diameter of only 17 cm, the driver is designed to allow a very long excursion without the voice coil leaving the magnetic field, ensuring maximum impact without distortion..
Perfect synergy between amplification and speakers.
Through the patented DEAP™ technology (Digital Enhancement of Acoustical Performance), developed by Cabasse’s R&D teams, this technology enhances speaker performance via multi-band dynamic signal processing with feedback loops, allowing full use of the available amplification power for distortion-free peak output.
Three drivers aligned on the same axis.
This coaxial technology, developed by Cabasse as early as 1952 and continuously perfected since, allows all sound waves to emanate from a single point source, ensuring they propagate coherently and naturally, without interference or artificial coloration of the sound.
