Coaxial mid-tweeter
Inspired by the technical solutions that make the Cabasse Eole satellite a success, the coaxial 2-way driver of the MC170 range adds to the fidelity of the timbres a depth and realism of the soundstage unmatched in its category, both in high fidelity and home cinema.
Long-throw woofers
The shape of the 17 cm driver basket has been specially studied by Cabasse to provide maximum mechanical rigidity and a low resonant frequency, for better bass extension without coloration. The long voice coil on a Kapton former is perfectly ventilated, the vertical port radiates 360°, and the power handling and acceleration capabilities are exceptional.
HDSE filters
The Cabasse protocol for measurements in an anechoic chamber takes into account measurements on-axis and 360° for perfect control of directivity and total radiated power, in accordance with the Cabasse principle of Homogeneous Distribution of the Sonic Energy (HDSE). Direct sounds and reflected sounds are homogeneous, the soundstage is wide and stable.
