DA 5 Digital-to-Analog Converter from C.E.C.
High-end from Japan to optimally complement the TL 5 CD drive equipped with the patented belt drive. An ingenious combination that makes CDs sound almost "analog" at the highest level.
Thanks to its powerful ES9018K2M chip from ESS and the skills of the Japanese sound engineers at C.E.C., the DA 5 sounds very analog, musical, detailed and, in the best sense of the word, neutral, meaning that the incoming music signal is passed on to the ear in the best possible way. CEC is one of the most renowned Japanese HiFi manufacturers - and has been for almost 70 years.
In addition to its USB input, the DAC has an excellent sounding 6.35 mm headphone jack. Thanks to two selectable filters, the sound image can be varied; "Flat" sounds a little more appealing and dynamic, "Pulse" a little softer, but more detailed.
The built-in D/A converter enables a resolution of up to 32 bits and a sampling rate of 384 kilohertz or a DSD data stream with a fourfold sampling rate (DSD256) via the USB input. The other digital inputs AES/EBU, S/PDIF and the coaxial cinch input process data up to 24 bit/192 kHz.
