Buchardt Audio Anniversary 10 Color Edition
The Buchardt Audio Anniversary 10 Color Edition delivers exceptionally deep bass and a vast, holographic soundstage from a compact sealed active speaker. Z Reviews found its presentation creamy, room-filling and unusually spacious, while DSP Mastertunings, real Danish hardwood cabinets and cable-light wireless operation make it a remarkably complete high-end system.

Pros
Expansive, immersive imaging that fills the listening space well beyond the compact cabinets.
Exceptional low-frequency extension for a sealed 6.5-inch stand-mount, reaching into the 30Hz region.
Self-powered DSP architecture and Mastertunings offer a highly flexible, minimalist system without a separate amplifier.
Real hardwood Danish construction adds premium visual and tactile appeal.
Cons
Ultimate playback level is limited when pushed very hard; a subwoofer and high-pass setting are preferable for loud listening.
For demanding movie bass, adding a subwoofer is advisable rather than asking the compact sealed cabinets to reproduce the lowest effects.

What Reviewers Are Saying
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 87/100
The available review is highly enthusiastic about the A10's room-filling, creamy presentation, unusually deep low end, and immersive spatial performance. Imaging and bass receive the clearest listening praise, while there is less direct commentary on tonal nuance through the midrange, treble, and dynamic headroom.
Bass
93/100
The reviewer calls the low end "incredible" and says the speakers reach into the 30Hz region on their own. For a sealed 6.5-inch stand-mount, that is exceptional extension, with the comments suggesting bass that brings convincing scale rather than merely extra weight.
Mid
83/100
The reviewer describes the overall sound as creamy and enveloping, which suggests a full-bodied, inviting tonal balance. There is little direct discussion of vocal realism, instrumental timbre, or midrange transparency, however.
Treble
80/100
The review identifies the revised dome tweeter and waveguide arrangement, but does not provide a substantive listening description of treble air, detail, smoothness, or brightness. As a result, there is limited evidence on how the top end performs in practice.
Soundstage Imaging
95/100
Spatial presentation is a major strength in the review. The speaker is praised for its depth and imaging, for lighting up the space ahead of the listener, and for presenting sound in every orientation around the cabinet.
Dynamics
80/100
The review conveys large-scale, room-filling sound, but says little specifically about transient attack, macrodynamic impact, or composure at demanding playback levels. There is not enough direct listening evidence to make a stronger claim here.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
86/100
The reviewer highlights the use of real hardwood construction made in Denmark and regards it as a meaningful part of the product's appeal. They also note that natural wood variation can slightly affect tuning, though this is presented as an inherent characteristic of the material rather than a clear workmanship flaw.
Value for Money
90/100
At roughly €4,000/$4,000, the reviewer makes a strong case for the package: real-wood construction, self-powered operation, DSP tuning, and future surround capability without requiring a separate amplifier. Against similarly priced speaker-and-amplifier systems, the integrated approach is presented as a compelling and potentially cost-saving alternative.

Manufacturer's Description — Buchardt Audio
Anniversary 10 - Celebrating 10 years of Buchardt Audio
The A10 is a culmination of all the experience gathered over the last 10 years of designing and building HiFi speakers. Over the last decade, thousands of speakers have been produced and sold to HiFi enthusiasts worldwide. Listening to customer feedback, learning from the best, and adding their own flavor has created extremely popular and critically acclaimed speakers, evolving into their best sounding speaker yet.
It is a speaker with unprecedented clarity and detail from top to bottom, setting new standards. It maintains the soul and soundstage presentation their speakers have become known for. It's a full range compact speaker that doesn't require a sub unless playing very loudly.
The speaker is highly flexible, which means it can be voiced very differently depending on the Mastertunings used. Mastertunings also allow it to be used in various applications like near wall, bookshelves, with or without subs, for small or large rooms, near-field studio use, wired or wireless depending on the preamp pairing.
Its reduced size makes it easier to fit into listening spaces with minimal impact on interior decor.
It utilizes a brand new RFA19 tweeter along with the world's best woofer, the Danish Purifi woofers. The compact design can generate incredible controlled and deep bass performance, with all the benefits of a sealed cabinet design, like greatly increased transient response.
The Purifi tech allows building a system with ultra low distortion, particularly well utilized in a 2-way design where midrange and bass are demanded simultaneously from the woofer. 2-way designs are most desirable by many audiophiles, and with smart DSP engineering, all benefits of a 2-way design are utilized without typical drawbacks.
Solid wood cabinets - Natural beauty shaped by skilled craftsmanship
The cabinets are made out of 19 mm solid wood that is CNC machined into perfect pieces and then assembled by experienced and passionate woodworkers. The speaker is a handcrafted, high quality product with solid wood cabinets that have an amazing natural look and feel that even the finest veneers can't match.
The cabinets are designed to last a lifetime and withstand wear and tear. All woods used are FSC certified, ensuring minimal negative impact on the environment and good working conditions for logging workers.
